Lets go swimming

The food was delicious, we had chicken alfredo pasta with pink lemonade and garden salad.

We went to the elevator and got in, we pushed the 6th floor button and waited.

"Hey Tanya you wanna head to the pool later, I heard it closes at 11 so we still have 3 hours."

"Ok but I want to lie down for a bit, I think I ate to much."

"Haha ok."

As the elevator approached our floor, we headed to our room. It was really annoying because our room was tight at the end of the hallway so it took forever to get there, and I wasn't feeling to good. Stacey swiped the pass key and I ran to one of the two queen beds and jumped up landing on the soft comforter.

"I'm going to go change and maybe order some coffee from room service, do you want anything?"

"No I'm good I think I'm just going to sleep for a bit."

"DUDE! Get up its been an hour and I want to go to the pool and look for hot guys" , Stacey's voice filled my head as I woke up, I felt all groggy.

"Ok let me just get my bathing suit on" I say as I stroll over to my suitcase. It felt like I slept for 5 minutes but oh well I had a chance to meet some hot Cali guys and just relax in the pool.

I grabbed my blue bikini top and black bottoms, as I was changing I thought about the job hunting tomorrow and if anyone would accept a 16 year old Canadian who was just visiting for the summer. I eventually decided to stop thinking about it and just enjoy the moment.  I was in L.A. for goodness sake! Back home it was everyone's dream to go to California but not many people had the privilege.

"Where is the pool, the bottom floor I'm guessing?" I asked Stacey

"No it's actually on the roof at this hotel, but it's still indoor"

"Hm that's different, can't wait to check it out" I say as I grab my phone and head out the door.

We walk to the elevator which took a while.

"I hate how our room is at the end of the hall. Why don't they have more elevators or something?" I complain a lot.

We pushed the button and waited as the elevator doors opened up and we stepped in. Me and Stacey looked at each other casually of course we both knew what it was. There was another guy in the elevator and all I can say is damn! He was probably about our age, I think he was staying with his family on vacation or something because I recognized his shirt from before but must have not seen him at the time.

It was really awkward as I pressed the highest floor button which was floor 14. I realized floor 11 was already pressed so that was his floor. He was pretty tall, about 5'9'' with light skin, blondish brown short hair and blue eyes.

It felt like forever until he got out, right as the doors closed behind him, me and Stacey started freaking out and laughing at the same time. This isn't exactly new for us.

"Oh my god did you see his arms, they were so muscular" Stacey said

"Yes and his hair! Oh my gosh!"

We both laughed as we arrived to the roof. There was a big sign that said POOL and pointed right, both of our jaws dropped as we saw this big glass dome outside the hotel which had a huge pool, hot tub and night lights all around overlooking downtown L.A. And the palm trees which were still so pretty to me because I never see them.

"It's like a fairytale, everyone imagines this when they come to California but never end up getting such a great view" Stacey says

"I know right, this would make a perfect Instagram picture"

Still I shock of the beauty, we head into the dome, grab one of the hotel towels and set our phones down on the beach chairs. I snapped a couple pics for Instagram posts, I couldn't give up such a magnificent view and not secretly brag to everyone about it online...isn't that the point of social media? To make your life look perfect and stalk everyone else's. 

No one else was here except a couple. Little kids who were about to leave with their parents, this is my favourite time to go swimming at hotel pools, late at night when no one is around.

SPLASH! Stacey dives into the other end of the pool and I realize it is 8 feet deep, that isn't common for a hotel pool but I get excited because I love swimming in water that's deeper than 4 feet like normal hotel pools. I dove in and the water was freezing! I got use to it and both of us were just hanging in the deep end treading water and chatting.

"I think I am going to go in the hot tub now, you wanna come?"

"Ya sure" Stacey says as we both get out of the pool and rush to the hot tub to warm up.  I step inside and freak out a little as the hot foamy water makes contact with my foot, I slowly walk in and sit down letting the boiling water rise up to my shoulders.

"Ahh this is nice, sitting in a hot tub with an amazing view of Los Angeles with my best friend!" I say so happy

"Yes this is the best thing ever, let's put it on snapchat" Stacey grabs her phone from the beach chair which is just beside us and snaps a pic for her story.

"I'm going to miss this so much, we are living the dream"

"Come on Tanya! It's the first day, we still have lots of time so stop thinking about this being over!"

"Haha I'm sorry I just never want this to end" I say as I close my eyes and sink deeper in the water.

Of course just as I say that, a Spanish man with a suit on comes in and says "I'm sorry to ruin your paradise young ladies but we have to close the pool an hour early unfortunately because we have to clean it all out tonight" I'm guessing he was the manager or something.

Annoyed, we both get out of the tub and grab our towels. Stacey puts on her big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t shirt on as a coverup after drying her self with the towel, that's when I realize that I forgot to bring a coverup or t shirt to put over my bathing suit, I'm so dumb.

"Hurry up ladies please" the manager repeats in his Spanish accent, he was really pissing me off. I just decide to wrap the pool towel around me and wear it to our room, I quickly grab my phone and start walking to the exit. Stacey was already standing there and dropped her wet towel into the hamper.

"Come on Tanya I have to use the facilities" I keep walking with the towel around me but the stupid manager says,

"Uh uh uh the towels get dropped into the hampers before you leave that way no one steals them" as he chuckled.

"But I forgot my coverup,what's the difference of taking it to our hotel room? We already have towels there to and were not stealing anything"

"I apologize for the inconvenience but it's hotel policy" he replies. I wanted to smack that s.o.b. so hard but controlled myself. I had hardly dried off but threw the towel in the damn hamper and walked out of the dome soaking wet in my bikini. The chill slapped my body and I think I was going to get hypothermia. Stacey and I walked back to the elevator as I froze to death and tried not to slip and die.

"What was all that about?" she asked as we pressed the button to go to our floor,

"I don't know I just got really pissed with that ass hole, he ruined the night"

"Hey it wasn't his fault, and we had a good time so far so let's continue that for the rest of the summer" we came to our floor and started walking to the room.

"Ya sorry I felt like losing my temper but I need to control myself, I just want this summer to be perfect" we arrived to our suite

"Hey Tanya give me the pass key I really need to use the bathroom"

"Oh shit"

Hiiii I hope you enjoyed and I still am introducing the characters but I swear there is going to be some more action in the next two chapters, Tanya is going to go on an adventure to get their hotel room open and apply for some jobs! I haven't really updated often but this isn't my first priority, that's why I gave you guys a longer update today. Please comment and vote ;) can we get this to 50 views?
