Bavyesh POV:
"Vanilla" that is exactly the scent lingering in her handkerchief, which has some quite eye hurting intricate designs. I would unfurl profanities at her when she collided with me but she was acting like a little hamster rampaging through her stuffs and mumbling apologies profusely. Before I can say anything, she hands me the piece of cloth before running away. I stole a glance at her identity card dangling from her neck "Anvi Batra" I mumbled to myself. I was about to enter the auditorium when I saw Ashish standing outside. I called him towards me "Anvi Batra she is a MPhil student I need every information you can get of her within half an hour." He nodded. I opened the gate while the room break out in claps and cheers of my name. my eyes spotted her in a chair sliding down to answer. "Who is she calling in a seminar?" I thought to myself. Before I took a step on the stage, I can see her hunching her way out of the auditorium. "Good morning, guys, Bavyesh Malhotra here." I gave a professional smile "as you know I am invited here to speak about mental health and it is an honour to be in here." I was speaking but my mind was trailing to her who ran out of here. "I have been practicing as a surgeon for almost seven years now and I have seen many cases where the input of a clinical psychologist was as crucial as us in the rapid recovery of the patients." I spoke "as much as I will love to stand up here and speak absolute lectures, I would like you guys to ask me any questions I will answers let's make this interactive." I said trying to get over with the session as fast as I can. I saw bunch of hands raised I started picking one by one and answering. It was almost thirty minutes and I was getting restless so I decided to wrap this up. "Guys for today let's end this here I will provide you guys a question and an email id the person to answer it most accurately will be internship the hospital I am in." I saw the hall breaking out in cheers. I put the mic in stand and proceeded to go down. I stride out of the hall to find Ashish standing outside.

He handed me the tablet and summarizing about her. "Her name is Anvi Batra, she is 25 pursuing MPhil in clinical psychology, she lives in a nearby pg. her hometown is in Jaipur, she recently got into trouble with the management." The last piece of information got my attention. I was about to ask him to elaborate when I saw her on a nearby bench shivering and sniffling in her hands. Something twitched inside me; I could not point it correctly is it pity? that might be it I try to reason with myself. I walked up to her extending my hand out with my handkerchief out. She took it rubbing it on her face. Her cheeks looked red like tomatoes; her eyes rimmed red tears still collected. "How magnificent will she look like this under me." that is the first thought which stroked me, well something is definitely wrong with me. I do not want her only for a brief time. I got the gist of her crying from her mumbling that it is related to her appearing for her examination. Even in this condition she is thanking me and apologising a kind of weird sensation spread through my chest. I do not know well how to console a crying woman but well I wanted to do it now. I muttered a "don't worry" before walking away. I signaled Ashish. He came running "set me a meeting with the principal right now and make sure the HOD of psychology department is there too." He did not waste any time before pulling out his phone and calling someone. I know he is competent enough to get this done. "Sir we can go to the office." He let me know after five minutes. I was briskly walking towards the office when I saw a middle-aged woman rushing towards the main office as well, I guess that is the head of the department. While going to the office I saw the little hamster still sniffling in my handkerchief. I will get this right I promised to myself. I entered the principal room taking a seat. "Good morning, sir I think I don't have to introduce myself." I spoke out. "No no sir we know about you how could I not, thank you for your time today." He said sweating a little. I do not know what exactly Ashish said but I guess they are predicting something bad. I saw the woman entering the room. the principal stood up "this is our head of psychology department." I hummed. "Now sir what is the issue that is mattering you? "The principal asked rubbing his forehead with a napkin. "Well," I looked at the woman "you know Anvi Batra." I saw her twitching "I came here for her." She opened her mouth to speak but the principal cut her off "yes sir she does not have that great of a reputation. "My eyebrow twitched. the urge to knock this idiot out is so high. "Well why is that so?" I gave him a questioning stare, if he is wise enough, he will not run his mouth about my girl. "Well, her attendance is really poor this semester and a student complained against her about misconduct." I raised my eyebrow " so we had to debar her this sem." I chuckled a little "well how did a petty thing like a low attendance of a random student came under your outlook exactly." He still does not get the hint, I guess. "Well," he was rambling to find something to answer me. I took a mental note that someone is pulling the strings from behind. "Well sir she is a great student academically but we had a hiccup with her due to her poor attendance." The women spoke out. I leaned in the chair "as far as I know a letter of reconsideration would usually solve it out so what's the issue?" I see both squirming and getting uncomfortable "I want answers not seeing you guys' squirming around." I bite out I was already losing my cool "sir we can't share private information of students with anyone." I hear the woman squeaking. "Well, I guess I didn't introduce myself properly, I am Bavyesh Malhotra, Anvi Batra is my fiancé, I guess you guys know about me." I saw them wiping their foreheads. "Sir I am sorry we didn't know I will look into this and make sure she gets to appear for the examination." The principal spoke rapidly "that goes without saying I want you to elaborate more on the misconduct you were mentioning." I can see both hesitating. Finally, the woman spoke out. "She had a disagreement with Kabir Arora before so he is barring her from appearing for the exam." I can feel my knuckles tightening already. "Call him here now." I spat out at the principal. He tried to persuade me not to as it might create a whole lot of chaos. "Nahi mujhe bhi dekhna hai kya kar diya mere Anvi ne uska?"
"No, I too have to see what did my Anvi did to him?"
I can already feel my forehead throbbing.
