Reconciliation

Akshat's Pov~

I booked Mangal Villa for wedding events. Everyone arrived there for engagement and bride's family and groom's family will be staying together until wedding. I prepared myself to face Rishabh again.

Flashback ~

We went to our old house in Village with Shekhawat and Kashyap family together for a vacation.
"Brother let's play hide and seek" Reema said with her pretty smile.
"As you wish, chipkali(lizard)." I said pinching her cheeks .
"You will count and me,Rish and Abhi bhaiya will hide" she said.
"Why always me? " I said with an unbelievable face.
"Your punishment for calling me chipkali." She said and Abhiraaj and Rishabh laughed at her words.
"Now don't make faces turn around and count till 50" she said .And I turned around with a pout. After completing my counts I went to find her .I found Abhi first and then Rishabh got caught but my princess was still hiding.
" You both go left and I will go right.Once you find her call me." I said .
"That would be cheating.I won't help you . I'm on my little sis side." Rishabh said .
"Shut up and go find her. Are you my bestfriend or hers? And she is alone.What if my chipkali got scared." I said to which he nodded. I searched her in right side but there was no sight of hers and I thought of searching in left side where Rish and Abhi are. But the scene I saw broke my heart. I wasn't able to see properly but my sister slipped and Rishabh was pulling her up . I helped Rishabh in pulling and Abhi went to call other elders .Abhi's father was on that spot which made us easier to save Reema. I asked her what happened and she told me that she felt a push and ground was slippery so she lost her balance.
"Who pushed you?" I asked her glaring Abhi and Rish .
"I don't know.It was an accident brother . Don't be angry." she said within her sobs. It broke my heart .I almost lost her . My anger was building up.
"I asked who pushed her." I said again .
"I..It was Rishabh." Abhi said pointing his fingers towards Rishabh.
"Why are you lying?" Rishabh said.
"It was an accident. It's not anyone's fault Akshat." Maa said patting my shoulder.
"Who was it uncle?" I asked Abhi's father.He gulped and glanced at Abhi then Rishabh and finally spoke.
"It was Rishabh. But it was not on purpose. It was an accident and Reema was already standing on the edge." Uncle said .
Rishabh looked at him all shocked.
"No. It's not truth. I didn't." Rishabh said shaking his head. After that incident I never let Reema around Rishabh. My father told me to forget it and move on. I know it was an accident but whenever I see Rishabh with my sister that day haunts me. After that incident Abhi got fever. My friendship with Rishabh broke. My father told me that it was not Rishabh who pushed Reema but I saw a glimpse and Rishabh had his hand on her. But I still denied it and asked Abhi and Abhi's father to confirm. I know it was all an accident but I am too protective towards Reema. After father's death I took over father's company and we became rivals. Rishabh must be hating me now. I didn't let him speak to me after that day. Reema came to love Rishabh's cousin but I fixed her marriage with someone else. I didn't wanted to do anything with them anymore.

Flashback ends~

Those memories are still fresh. But I now really doubt was it really Rishabh? Or was it Abhi? One friend of mine already killed my sister and was about to make my daughter his pawn. And another one almost took her life. Or maybe not? But my guilt is not letting me to have a talk with Rishabh again. Engagement happened smoothly. Rishabh is taking all responsibility from Ishita's side. Today is mehendi ceremony I hope everything goes well again.
"Papa ,Rishabh uncle fall down and injured himself." Akshita said almost out of breath.
"Where?" I asked her with worry.
" In garden lawn." as soon as she finished I ran outside.

Akshat's Pov ends~

As per my plan I told papa that uncle fell and Anjali managed to bring Rishabh uncle in lawn. I gave her thumbs up and pulled her behind the bushes. From where we were able to hear everything.
" Rishabh Are you fine?" Papa said with a panick checking him.
"Yes .What will happen to me?" Rishabh uncle said confused.
"Didn't you fell just now?" Papa questioned. "No. I didn't. And your way of starting conversation is really good.Huh .After so many years you finally want to talk right." Rishabh uncle said with a scoff.
" If you are fine then I am leaving." papa said. "No you will not leave." Dadu(Rishabh's father) and dadi(Akshat's mother) said in unison walking towards them.
"You both talk it out." dadi said in a stern tone.
"What is there to talk ,maa?" papa said.
"Yes what can you expect from a coward who just wants to run away from truth." Rishabh uncle scoffed .
"Both of you stop . Akshat that day it was not Rishabh who pushed your sister accidentally. It was Abhiraaj. " Dadi said holding Papa's shoulder .
"Why are you lying,maa?" Papa asked .
" I am not lying . Watch this video once. I obtained this from our old house." Dadi said passing phone to papa.
" See , it's Abhiraaj who pushed her accidentally.It was not anyone's intention. Abiraj's father did not wanted the collapse of collaboration between Malhotra's and them.As it may affect his business . And he lied to you."Dadu said.
"Why didn't you told this before maa?" Papa asked dadi."It wasn't me but Akshita who brought this evidence. She wants you both to reconcile. Stop this now.Apologize to Rishabh ." Dadi said .
" I am sorry Rishabh . I knew it was not your fault and it was all an accident but those memories never left me whenever I saw you . Maybe that's why I lost my chipkali." Papa fell on his knees and apologized to uncle .He was sobbing silently.
" Akshat . I am not angry at you for that . I am angry at you because you didn't wanted to listen to me at all. I lost my bestfriend that day along with my sister. Please get up and stop crying." Rishabh uncle said and pulled him into a hug . Finally there misunderstandings cleared .
"See this is how you make plan ." I whispered to Anjali with a grin.
"You would not have been able to execute it without my skills, duffer." Anjali said and smacked my head.
"But plan was mine." I said .
" Stop talking stupid or they will here us. Oh my god I almost forgot you can't think this with your pea-sized brain." She said and I pulled her out and made our way towards our room. We headed upstairs to change for mehendi ceremony.Finally Papa and Rishabh uncle will be together and this wedding will be most memorable.
