Shopping Together

We were leaving for shopping but Maa stopped us.
"If you are going for shopping then bring a nice saree for my daughter-in-law for tomorrow's fast." She said.

"What fast Maa? She can't do that she is sick." Raj asked.

"Tomorrow is Chauth. Don't worry I asked the doctor already and he said it's a minor injury so there shouldn't be any problem. And I won't let her even set her foot out of room. She is your wife but my daughter too." Maa said sternly.

"I will fast Maa." I said stopping Raj from arguing further.

He glared at me and I ignored him. We went taking two cars. In one car Raj , me, Roohani and Anamika were sitted. Aniket and Vijay sitted in other car.

"Kya jarurat thi Haan kehne ki main baat kar raha tha na. Tum kamzor ho jaogi. Tum thik hoti toh baat alag hai. Bilkul bhi fikar nahi hai tumhe tumhari. Ek toh khaati ho toh pata nhi Kahan jaata hai tumhare shareer mein kahin dikhayi hi nahi deta." He said lecturing me.
(Translation: Why did you said yes? I was talking to Maa. You are already weak and if you were not injured then it should be okay but you are injured. You don't care about your health do you? And God knows where does the food you eat goes. I can't see even a glimpse of the food you are eating.)

"Ek minute kya matlab hai apka ki Kahan jaata h obviously pet mein jaata hai mere. Ab moti nahi hoti toh meri galti hai. Aur maa ko khyal hai mera. Ek din vrat karne se kuch bhi nhi bigadega." I snapped back at him.
(Translation: One minute what do you mean by where does the food go. Isn't it obvious it goes in my stomach. I don't get fat even though I eat. Is that my fault? And maa cares about me. One day fasting won't affect my health.)

"Yeah. Of course. You mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are the only ones who cares about each other. You both are the only smart ones. We are a potato that just exists." Raj said sarcastically.

I sighed once this boy starts he won't stop. I saw from the mirror that Roohani and Anamika are enjoying and recording us. I thought they were recording but no they were on video call with Vijay. I understood this when I heard Vijay's laugh. I looked at them shocked and they giggled.

"You both are so cute.# Couple goals" Anamika said laughing and Roohani, Vijay, Aniket joined her along.

I rolled my eyes. We reached to mall in few minutes. Raj opened my side door and extended his hand but I ignored his hand and jumped out of the car and rolled my eyes on him. He scoffed looking at me like 'Are you kidding me '. I walked inside with my girls. Boys followed us behind. We went to girls section and changed in dresses. Boys were helping us in choosing by making faces if they don't like it and nods together when they like the dress. After that we went to shoes and sandals section. Anamika bought some sandals and we paired it. She twinned it with me. Aniket bought shoes for him. We went to Men's section to choose shirt for boys. After a whole hour finally we said yes to one shirt. They came back and flopped on sofa sighing.

"You girls throw so many tantrums." Aniket said shaking his head.

"That's because we have good fashion sense. We don't choose anything and then look like a clown. That's what you boys do. Lazy pumpkins." Anamika scoffed at him and Aniket looked at her with a wierd face.

"Exactly. We choose only best we don't pick trash." Roohani added.

"I agree totally. We know what is a real diamond and what is fake." I said nodding and Raj smacked Anamika's head.

"This little devil came back and now is spoiling my wife and sister." He said teasing her and faking his glares.

"I just spoke truth. You 6 ft. thief." She said pouting and turned towards me.
