Linda: -looks forward at the TV Before saying – It's not your fault that you couldn't fix him. Seems like he was a lost cost by the time you met him.
Shin: ...yeah... seems so. But he had his good traits.
Linda: Well now you know why you kept going back
Shin: - went silent and looked back at the TV- ...yeah
[Current Episode]
([3rd persons zoom out of the mall before showing Shin] Shin is in the back of the store sitting on a chair in the corner. Their expression looks tired and unmotivated.)
Shin: What am I gonna do... How am I gonna tell mom.
Linda: -She walks into the back and sees the lifeless Shin and raises an eyebrow before crossing her arms- Okay. What is it this time? Bad coffee, your phone broke, yoouu dropped your keys in the toilet? It's okay that happened to me once and I promise you it wasn't the prettiest water to stick your hand through.
Shin: my car won't be out of the shop on time. I have to wait 2 more days.
Linda: - she gives a confused look not seeing how that is a big problem- Okay? So, it's getting out late. At least you're getting the car back.
Shin: You don't get it
Linda: Then explain please before they wonder where both of us went.
Shin: I was supposed to have the car out by today, so when mom comes over in 2 days, she can see that the car is safe just like I promised her I would keep it
Linda: Well, what needs to get done on it. I feel like your mom will understand. Didn't you say she is understanding?
Shin: Yeah, but to an extent. I promised her that the car would be in tip top shape no matter what. Now there is an oil leak somewhere and they are trying to find and fix it. Plus, one of the tires got a nail in it and because I waited to pay the guys, they said its goanna take a few extra days.
Linda: Why not... ya know... tell your mom
Shin: Because I don't want to disappoint her. I always am breaking or losing something ya know. That car was originally my granny's, then to my brother, and now to me
Linda: Why doesn't your brother have it anymore?
Shin: Because it got busted up visually over time and then it just started to not work. Now dad had finally got it paid to be fixed and mom told me to care for it. Only 3 months in and I already fucked up man. How typical of me. It's like I have Midas touch, but instead of gold it's the ability to break shit all the time.
Linda: Maybe I can help you get in contact with a friend of mine later. For now, let's get to work before we get some mob of teens playing with the vibrators in the back of the store.
(After hearing that, they ran back into the store before it faded to black, and it is now closing time. The sun is going down and Shin is walking to their car by themselves before they hear Linda yelling their name from Tink's car.)
Shin: - They sigh before walking to them both- Okay do you just drive them everywhere or something?
Tink: Using your context clues. Good to know. We live in the same neighborhood and this one's license is expired.
Linda: It's been a couple months
Tink: A couple means two to three.... It's been six months.
Linda: None the less I have news about the guy I told you I'd talk to about your situation.
