It was a cold foggy day, Tullius was sending emails to a few of his co-workers. The other night Noah told him to check on the workers every now and then just in case. So far all of his co-workers are doing well with no issues. He finally decided he should stay longer, it is his vacation after all. He believed Derik was doing a good job taking care of the workers. He had no worry, and had more trust in him. While Noah did not like Derik at all, he felt really suspicious and knew he was up to something. Derik was still preparing for the meeting while everyone was already there, he was putting his sword in his trunk to get ready for the meeting. Everyone has already arrived waiting for Derik to arrive. Adam was at the meeting talking to Hallen,
"What a first impression, I would never expect the new CEO to be late." Hallen said.
"Hopefully he doesn't come, I am way too nervous to be here anyway." Adam said.
"I agree, but like Timon said, what is the worst that can happen? If he has anything against us, he is the one who is late anyway." Hallen said.
"By the way, he says he is from the tech company, what do you think he does there?" Adam asked.
"Probably engineering or something, he probably even fixed his boss's toy to gain his trust." Hallen teased. Adam laughed,
"What a weirdo." He said.
"Who is?" Richard creeped up on them.
"W-what are you doing here!? Aren't you supposed to be preparing for the meeting or something?" Hallen said.
"I am done, now tell me what you are doing here." Richard said.
"Don't we have a meeting?" Hallen said.
"Yes, we do. Where do you think Derik is?" Richard said. Suddenly Derik walked in,
"Apologies for being late, I hope I didn't keep you all waiting for long." Derik said as he went to take a seat.
"It's alright, now should we get started?" Richard said.
"Yes of course." Derik said. Adam glared at Derik for a while then looked away. He felt stress free as soon as Derik entered, something about him made him feel comfortable and more at ease. He didn't trust him though, he felt something off. Timon and Landon volunteered first,
"Here is the Data we collected from our group. As you can see, most of us would work outside of this building than inside the building." Timon said while Landon continued. A few minutes later they finished and Jack decided to go next, he was doing his speech alone.
"I would like to volunteer on the team's status so far. I have calculated the amount of time and things we get done." Jack stood up. He started presenting a few things and ideas, everyone in the group had something to present to prove to Derik that they are good workers. Adam and Hallen were the ones who will present how serious their job is and how they will take risks for it. Adam zoned out. He did not like the aura coming from Derik.
"Why did I stop stressing as soon as he walked in?" Adam thought, "I don't know why, but I hate him, I hate that guy so much, he doesn't even smile." Adam thought again.
"ADAM!" Jack yelled.
"What?" Adam said. Richard glared at Adam, "Sorry, I lost focus." Adam said.
"Do we often have to stay up to make sure our work is done efficiently and on time?" Jack asked.
"No, we finish it on time and always make sure it's done efficiently." Adam said.
"Then that proves my point." Jack said as he sat back down.
"Very interesting, it's nice to see some good workers every now and then." Derik said.
"Adam, to wake you up, why won't you and Hallen go next?" Richard said.
