Tris is a major distraction for me, and I had to leave early in the morning to finish my work because I slept so early the night before. I decided to work from my office at work rather than the office in my apartment because I had other things to complete and I was pressed for time. She was sleeping on my bed when I left at six in the morning.
I completely forgot that I had allowed her to spend the night in my room as we watched a movie. For about 20 minutes through the movie, she fell asleep.
Even though the noodles were cold, I still ate them. After that, I also fell asleep.
When I arrived at the department, there weren't many people present, which may help me concentrate and solve the puzzle pieces in my head.

First, I wanted to figure out who broke into my office while I was at the meeting; if it was related to Tris' case, it may be linked to her father.

At some point, I have to tell Tris everything since I might need her opinion on this.
Mr. Ledger, who is the attorney, traveled to Austria for a legal matter. However, things took a turn for the worst when they discovered that the other lawyer had been bought off by the Hudson family, who were supposed to be imprisoned for the crime they had committed. However, they have demonstrated their gullibility, as the lawyer was shot the day after the official court announcement hearing.

Mr. Ledger had to go into hiding to avoid becoming the next victim of the attack. And the fact that his daughter is also under observation is completely random. The culprit must have known she was going to go into hiding, which suggests they may have had a large plan.
That is, if my calculations are accurate.

I return to my office after putting together some unresolved pieces on the evidence board.
I turned on my laptop and browsed through some current files about Beatrice Ledger, as well as her past, to discover who would be doing such things in retaliation for her.

The perpetrator must have kidnapped Ally and blamed her on Beatrice in order to damage her reputation.

Right now, all I want is for the poor girl to be okay and alive. Ally Wilson did not deserve any of this. Why would Ally be picked to be kidnapped in order to accuse Beatrice and make others believe she was capable of such an act? Something doesn't make sense unless...
The culprit could be at her school, and they knew Tris despised Ally, so they used the concept to set up this scheme. But why would a teen be involved in Beatrice's case, as well as Mr. Ledger's, and break into my office?

This suggests the person isn't working alone, and whoever they are may be at her school or some of them are.

I've interviewed a few people at her school to find out if Tris was innocent or not. I had a strange feeling about someone in her friend group, and she could be connected to this case.

After scribbling down some ideas on my laptop, I saved the file and locked it. Before I turned off the computer, I set up a tracker that would record anything someone wrote using my keyboard and allow me to identify who they were. I also kept a spy camera on my wall and stuck some on the frame to detect anyone breaking into my office. I left my office without speaking to anyone and went straight to my car. Something wasn't right before I got to my car. I looked around and didn't sense anyone watching me. I still felt as if I was being followed. I tried hard to remain calm and walk closer to the car. There was a letter on my car, so I searched my bag for a glove before touching the paper. I donned it, took the message, and went inside the car to read it. It was folded in half on freaking pink paper.

This note has proven to me that Beatrice is innocent, and whomever she/he is might be in high school. And, based on the note, this could be some dumb adolescent girl doing anything, but I'm sure she or he isn't alone.

I checked the time and realized it was already 11 a.m. Time went by so quickly.
I sped up to get to my apartment; Tris needed to go to Lucas' house and accomplish what we planned. Part of me still believes that her useless ex is engaged in this, and I need to find out more about it today, with Beatrice playing a significant role. When I arrived at the building, I got breakfast from the lounge area and headed right upstairs. I used the card to enter my apartment, and to my amazement, Tris stared back at me, afraid.

Terror gripped her face, and she batted her lashes. Her expression tightened, and she let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God it was you," she said, her smile quirking up.
"You nearly scared me to death," she said before walking away.
"Tris, what are you talking about?" I ask, placing the laptop bag on the ground and approaching her.
"I heard the door closing, and then a minute later, you're here. I'm assuming it was you,right...?"

When I said nothing, she grew pale, and my expression went blank.
