Hello, everyone! I want to first start by thanking the real life Natalie for being the inspiration for this story. She lended me her point of view for "Natalie Meets Rowan," "Natalie is an Intern," and "Natalie Gives a Second Chance." I was able to build a fictional, twisted love story around it.
Natalie and the other three main characters are real people with different names. Because there are real people and real events involved, I want to clarify what is fiction and nonfiction throughout the story.
The last six chapters are completely fake. They never happened. Along with "Jade is Skeptical" and "Rowan Eases Concerns."
Natalie and Rowan are not secretly in love with each other and are still with Blake and Jade respectively. Any mention of their feelings towards each other in the story is made up.
Like I said, the first three chapters narrated by Natalie actually happened, with the exception of the made up feelings towards Rowan.
TLDR; The secrets, cheating, lies, jealousy, and tragedy never happened. Both couples are very healthy, and Blake and Jade are still alive.
After the last story I tried to write, You Only Die Twice, never came to fruition, I decided to have a go at another romance novel. Like a Stone had some science fiction elements to it, and I purposely marketed the story that way to draw in people who hate romance. I decided this time around to market this story as only romance.
Also, in case I receive questions about the title... I got it from some Italian composer named Ludovico Einaudi. He has a piece with the same title, and I always name my stories either directly or loosely after other people's works.
This was another one of those stories that really raised its hand. I began writing this on March 25, 2023 and finished it on February 12, 2024. It took me a while to finish writing it after I decided on each chapter. I have a one-and-a-half year old son who takes up most of my time at home, and by day, I'm a high school physics teacher.
