Aela, curious about her savior, asked Nick about his identity and nature. Nick introduced himself as Nicholas Taylor, or Nick for short. He explained that he was a human from a world far more advanced than hers and that he had been summoned by the goddess Vitaria to be reborn as a tank in this world. The information was overwhelming for Aela, causing her to feel dizzy. Seeing this, Nick simplified his explanation, making it easier for her to understand. Although Aela had some doubts, she grasped the concept of Nick being a tank and his role.

Aela then asked Nick to escort her, to which he agreed. Upon their arrival at the village, they encountered Lewdaurf, a boy who had previously harassed Aela. Lewdaurf, living up to his reputation as a spoiled brat, accused Nick of being a monster that attacked them. The elf warriors, following Lewdaurf's orders, surrounded Nick and pointed their spears at him. However, their attempts to harm Nick were futile against his thick armor. Nick found the situation amusing and let out a low, groaning laugh, which only added to the warriors' fear.

Aela, seeing the misunderstanding, stepped in to defend Nick. She told the villagers that Nick had saved her from the soldiers the previous day and had once again protected her from Lewdaurf. The villagers, unsure of whom to believe, decided to side with Aela, who seemed more sincere. Lewdaurf, feeling betrayed, ordered his men to attack Aela and the villagers. But before they could act, Nick pointed his main gun at Lewdaurf and, using Aela as his spokesperson, warned him that he could obliterate him with a single shot. Lewdaurf, terrified, fell to the ground and whimpered in fear.

The village chief intervened and ordered everyone to return to their homes. He also asked Aela to come with him, but she refused to go without Nick. The chief agreed, and they all headed to a large house in the village. Nick's journey in this new world was becoming more complex and intriguing with each passing day.

Inside the large house, Nick found himself in a room that resembled a court, surrounded by village elders. Their initial shock at his appearance was palpable. The village chief explained the situation, asking the elders to pass judgment on his son, Lewdaurf. After hearing Aela's account, the elders agreed that she was telling the truth and that Lewdaurf was indeed a liar. The village chief looked at his son with a mix of disgust and disappointment.

The elders then turned their attention to Nick. They observed that he seemed pure and found nothing wrong with him, except for his unimaginable strength. They suggested keeping him in the village and using his power to their advantage against the humans. Nick, confused, asked them about the humans through Aela. The elders explained that the humans had threatened them, demanding that they leave their land in exchange for their lives. They described the humans as evil beings that should be annihilated instantly. Nick wasn't surprised by this, as he knew that evil was part of human nature.

After the meeting, Aela welcomed Nick to her home and arranged a comfortable room for him in the stables. That night, Nick secretly left to grind and level up, returning early the next morning. Aela, surprised to see the gate destroyed, saw Nick trying to park inside his room. She giggled and asked Nick to protect her while she collected berries. Nick agreed and escorted her out of the village.

Meanwhile, a group of men had been observing from afar. They recognized Nick as the metal beast and decided to report their findings to their commander. They ran off, leaving Aela and Nick alone. The men reported to their commander that the metal beast was indeed on the elves' side and that they had observed some of its abilities. They noted that the beast did not react to melee weapons due to its thick armor and suggested developing a new way to kill it. The commander, intrigued, ordered his mages to prepare for war.
