Half Friendship

Friendship is like a special connection that grows over time,
It's not for everyone, just a few friends who are prime.

Sometimes we hope for things from friends, but they don't always come true,
Even with those we love, we might feel a little blue.

I wonder if others feel this way, or if it's just me,
Trying hard to be a good friend, but things don't always agree.

Am I silly or just being nice,
I'll have to wait and see, it's like a guessing dice.

People often talk about one-sided love and how it can hurt,
But having a one-sided friendship can feel like being stuck in the dirt.

It's when you give your all but don't get much back,
Leaves a sad feeling, like a heart under attack.
