No one's POV:

Three weeks have passed since the devastating events of Oran's death, Hayley still dyes Amaya and Avery's hair weekly and her abusive habits have been nothing but a pain. She came in possession of drugs and alcohol around 1 week after her eldest son's suicide and has done nothing but rot away in her room while consuming the deadly addictions. Amaya mostly takes care of Avery as their mother is now emotionally and physically unavailable most of the time, except for when she's aggressively bleaching their hair against their will or hitting them for not acting properly or lady like or screaming profanities at them for not wearing 'girl' clothes. Amaya is constantly tired and bruised from bullies and her mother being abusive and absent, Avery is bruised from her mother and is upset at the 'sudden disappearance' of her two brothers as Amaya decided not to break the upsetting news to her even when she asked for answers.

"AMAYA! DOWNSTAIRS NOW. YOU LAZY BITCH WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING UP THERE"
Hayley's voice bellowed from downstairs as Amaya sighed, putting a slim long piece of paper in the inner corner of her book and slamming it shut, placing it on top of her nightstand and standing up. She stepped into her slippers and began to make her way downstairs where she was met with a peculiarly overjoyed Avery and an unamused Hayley.
"There's a new diner opening, you remember Fred bear fax diner or whatever the fuck that place was called, you and your sister went there ages ago or whatever"
'yes ma'am, I do remember.' She answers with a stern look on her face and an annoyed hint in her tone.
"Yeah whatever the grand opening to the I think it's the second one I don't care enough to know is at like... 12:15 or something so go get showered you dirty bastard and put some nice clothes on. Don't make a fool of yourself" Hayleys slurry speech made it almost impossible to understand the words coming out of her mouth, but Amaya was used to her terrible speech and understood well enough. She listened to her mother and went to get showered.

An hour passes and Amaya begins to decide on an outfit, she pulls out a deep pinky coloured hoodie and beige shorts. It was the only way she could dress remotely masculine without her mum having a hernia or throwing a bitch fit about her 'looking like a faggot' or 'looking like a tranny' she could never get a break. Avery was wearing her usual red and orange coloured dress and her red and off white jacket with her hair slightly shorter since the bottom half was too heavily bleached and was falling out so Hayley had to cut it off. She wasn't happy and screamed a lot of slurs that she cannot reclaim at her for it even though it wasn't Avery's fault and was in fact Hayley's fault, but anyhow. Once Amaya had come back downstairs she walked over to her mother and gave her a piercing stare. "Shall we be off, ma'am?" She said trying to sound as cheerful as possible as to not ignite something within her mother, Avery seemed happy for once, she wasn't about to ruin this. Her mother rolled her eyes and held the door open for them. Avery skipped out joyfully, thanking her mother as she passed. Amaya walked stiffly and simply hummed on her way out the door. They all sat in the car and began the painfully quiet car journey.

Half an hour later and they finally arrived at the pizzeria. As soon as they got out of the car Hayley got a phone call, she huffed furiously and cursed under her breath after telling Amaya and Avery to go on in without her.
