Thunderstorms

The next few months were filled with adventure and excited. As the two newborns slowly became older and could hold a small conversation.

On one particular morning after the engagement between Remus and Sirius, Lily walked into a very cute and memorable scene.

On the large double bed were Phoebe and Harry, who had both fallen asleep after many, many hours of long, fun filled games. To the right of Harry was a large black dog, who looked like it had been sleeping longer than the 2 children.

To the left of Phoebe was a black cat with bright green eyes, the cat had its paw just on the girls arm, like a protection. Finally, at the foot of the bed was a stag with large antlers and feet that were almost touching the floor.

When Lily walked in the next morning the first thing she said was "Oph can you grab the camera". The next moment both Remus and Ophelia came up the stairs.

Laughing as the three of them took the picture , careful not to wake anyone up, they decided to add some jazz.

One way they did this was by Remus grabbing a cowboy had and putting it on his new fiancées dog head. Another way was Ophelia putting her black cat partner into sunglasses.

After many more funny Photo Booth pictures, both of the children started to stir. The first person to notice this was Lily, as the other two were busy taking photos.

Immediately, Harry started to cry for his mother's attention, whereas Phoebe desperately tried to calm him down. Her attempts weren't bad, however, when Lily came over he calmed almost instantly.

Regulus was the first of the three, illgal animagus', to wake up. With his light sleeping, which unfortunately Phoebe inherited, he heard the crying.

When the others woke up the room was filled with laughter especially after Regulus' reaction to him in funky pink sunglasses.

When James opened his eyes and seen himself in the mirror opposite he fell off the bed.

To wake Sirius up, Remus had to yell, "wake up before I shave off your hair." That comment was soon followed by an angry, "you wouldn't dare moony".

It was a dark and dimmed night, rain was lashing down outside making it impossible to see out the windows. It was only 4pm, but the weather outside made it seem like 2 in the morning.

"Regulus do you really have to do this" whispered Ophelia with tears streaming down her face. She really didn't want him to go.

"It's the only way to stop the war, get him killed and it'll be over." Regulus said, his mind was already made up, he wanted the war over and if he had to do it on his own terms, so be it.

"I-I love you" cried Ophelia. The tears were streaming down like a waterfall but silently. The weather outside just reflected how she felt within.

"Mu-mummy cry??" Stuttered Phoebe who had now woken up from the thrashing rain outside. Even though she was only 10months she had a great understanding of people's emotions.

"Hey Pheebes, I have to go ok, just remember that you are amazing, I am soo proud of you and that I will always love you." The last bit was cut off by a strike of thunder.

"I love you both" and with that, the door to the once happy bungalow was slammed shut by the wind. Silent tears rolled down the three faces that night all for the same reason.

That is why Phoebe would forever be afraid of thunderstorms.

The next day passed, then the next, then, before Ophelia knew it five days had gone by and still there was no return of Regulus.

POP

With the sound of a whip breaking through the air, Ophelia and Phoebe both looked up from their place on the bed. Phoebe was sat up and on the end, while Ophelia was laying down trying to make her daughter crack the same goofy smile as always.

When Ophelia sat up she saw the familiar look of a house elf. Keacher. No, no, it can't be happening. A million different thoughts swirled around her head, but one was right at the front, one she hoped was false.

"Master Regulus is gone, Kreacher tried to help him. Kreacher couldn't save him. Kreacher was told to leave." Kreacher the house elf croaked out, every word he said brought a more pained reaction to both Ophelia and Phoebe.

Soon after, Ophelia was standing outside Potter manor Phoebe rapped tightly in her arms.

"Oh hey Oph, what brings you here? Where's Reg?" Remus was the one to open the door, confused on the sudden visit when normally she would always write a letter, maybe he missed it.

"C-can I come in?" It pained Ophelia that the last time she was here it was Christmas Day, the last day she saw Regulus.

"Yeah ofcouse" As soon as Ophelia came inside, Phoebe burst into tears. Confused all the adults turned to Ophelia hoping for an explanation.

Once Ophelia was sure this was reality did she tell them everything. Start to finish, no details missed out, by the end everyone was bawling whether they were 5 months old or 20 years old, it didn't matter.

That's how it was for 4 hours they were all in a close huddle, barely anyone speaking. Phoebe and Harry were both sat on the floor two different looks in their face, one full of understanding and the other confused and wondering when he would get to play on his toy broomstick.
