Every night for the past seven years Phoebe has had the same reoccurring nightmares. One, the dreaded Christmas of 1980, the last time she'd seen her father. Two, 29th of February 1984, the last she'd seen her mother.

It may have been refreshing sometimes, seeing the two people she wanted to spend most time with, tell each other secrets and have a close bond. Although sometimes, especially after a long day, it was upsetting and exhausting. Meaning Phoebe's natural body clock was early.

The clock struck 5am and Phoebe was already up. There she lay awake under the duvet of the cosy hufflepuff room wishing for sleep to overcome her for two more hours. It unfortunately didn't happen.

After many minutes of contemplating with herself she decided to get up. Feeling the fresh breeze of the cold September air made her want to crawl all the way back into her bed but she didn't, she got dressed.

Phoebe made her way over to the bathroom and turned on the light. Putting on her skirt, white shirt (not doing the top button up), her tie and her jumper. Her black set of robes neatly placed on her bed.

She already knew how she wanted to make friends. Be nice, kind comforting and they'll be the same back. Right? Hopefully if she learnt when her friends were upset they could do the same.  Although when Phoebe was upset her face was stoic and almost emotionless. Just like her father.

It may have sounded crazy that she just wished for someone to be there, for them to understand her like she would them. However, life isn't always fair. All she could do is just be this caring and compassionate figure for one to come to when they needed help. After all their problems are bigger than hers.

Grabbing her robe and quietly sneaking out Phoebe made her way out of the Hufflepuff dorm and down into the common room, she didn't expect to see anyone but the turning of book pages made her head turn.

She jumped making the person on the sofa quickly turn around. "Oh, you scared me," Phoebe exclaimed, "How long have you been down here?"
"I haven't gone up." He answered as more of a question.
"Well, my names Phoebe." She decided to introduce herself and to finally have a friend.
"Nice to meet you Phebes, I'm Rio!" He was glad he'd made a friend, hopefully this friendship would last. It would, it was the start of a great one before disasters to come, one who wakes up early and one who doesn't sleep.
