"kehlani come on trust me" Kehlani looked at her producer unsatisfied with him, he thought it was would be a good idea to drop an ep album called "while we wait" with her as the cover. immediately she said no, she didn't know if she wanted anybody to know her identity yet
"come on it would be a great time for you to come out of your shell, just trust me i promise you that you won't regret it" lani gives him a blank stare "ill think about it" she said with a serious tone "we have 3 months till the deadline, ill give my answer a month before it"
lani just needed some time to think if this was what she wanted, she didnt want to regret it in the long haul "alright but trust me this will be good for you and your fans" he said before leaving out the studio, she sighed and turned the music back up "On some nights like this, shawty, I can't help but think of us" she hummed the lyrics as she bopped her head to the music
"I've been reminiscin', sippin', missin' ya , Can you tell me what's with all this distant love?" she started tweaking the sound a little to fit how she liked "If I called, would you pick it up? On some nights like this, I just wanna text you, but for what?" her phone started ringing seeing lexis name pop she answered the phone
"hey lexis im bus--" she was interrupted by somebody that wasn't lexi "hey its Kelly" her eyes widen and she tried her hardest to stop the music but wasn't fast enough "You gon' say you want me, then go switch it up Just gon' play with my emotions just because, no (Oh)"
finally after struggling to stop it she smacked her teeth not knowing if Kelly heard it or not "are you busy?" she asked with confusion in her voice "umm.. kinda but I have a minute, what's up?" lani was worried she was gonna question the music and she prayed she wouldn't
"I was wondering if you wanted to come party tonight?" lani didnt know if that's something she wanted to do "the F1 organization throws this party every year" she explained more about the party "will you please come with me? Max wont able to come till later and I don't want to go alone" she rambled on and on and finally lani stopped her before she kept going
"ok.ok.ok I will go with you what time does it start?" lani asked Kelly, lani could hear the excitement in Kellys voice as she responded back "ohhh really?!?! Thank you sevyn, it starts at 8 I'll pick you up, I'll ask Alexandra for your address" she hung up before lani could protest.
she looked at her phone and noticed the time was 5:30, she saved all her progress and left. she waved bye to the lady at the desk and walked to her car, got in and got settled before she started her car up. her phone started ring again, it was Alexandra..
she started driving home and picked the phone up on the last ring "Kelly listen I can meet you there" she was cut off by Alexandra voice "Im sorry lani I didnt know she took my phone and called you" lexis sounded apologetic "listen you don't gotta go" she said in a worried voice lani chuckled "its okay lexi ill go but I don't want her picking me up" lexi knew lani hated when people knew where she lived and it was bad already enough that lewis knew
"I know I told her that you would meet her there" she smiled, lexis was always saving the day "why are you going anyway?" lani thought to herself, a hospital visit never stopped her from going to a party before "Charles and me are going, I told Kelly couldn't go with her this time" she explained to lani, it now made sense to her why Kelly asked her
"plus I was gonna ask you to come with us so be at my house at 7:30" she said in a serious tone "no later than that lani im not playing" she hung up. lani rolled her eyes and finally pulled into her driveway, she got out and walked inside where she was greeted by her dog nova "hey baby, I missed you too" she gave her some belly rubs before going upstairs to take a shower

she finished her hair and makeup; she kept the makeup simple but wanted to try something new with her hair. it turned out nice and she loved how it looked then she walked to her closet , where she picked her phone up. she looked at the time and realized she only had 20 minutes to get ready to leave on time
she put her dress and heels on, turning to the mirror to look at herself one more time before leaving out the house. she got into her car, pulled out the driveway and drove to Alexandras house. it was a 15 minute drive from her own house so getting there wasn't a problem. before she knew it she pulled into the driveway and noticed an all black Maybach in Alexandra driveway
"Charles got a new car huh" she said to herself. she shrugged and went to the door, took her spare key out then unlocked the door before she closed it. she walked into the living room "lexis im here where are--" she stopped mid sentence when she noticed that lewis was sat on the couch, he turned his head to her and couldn't look away.
