"Speaking"

-Sumire's POV-

" Hold on!!!" I yelled to the top of my lungs as our bison started to doze off, rocking around. Water splashed on my face. Stupid Water. We were going fast into the ocean, I gulped since I didn't know how to swim. Just a little longer furball, just a little longer till we make it to Kyoshi Island. "Sumire!! What do we do?!" I heard Rin yell. I looked her in the eye while thinking. 

"Everyone lets try to use our bending to make the bison fly!!" I yelled. The group followed my instructions, as we landed on the island, barely. Finally, dry land, oh sweet dry land!! You don't know how long we've been flying. We got lost on our way to Kyoshi Island, which was totally not my fault.

The group started to make our way to the center of this town. I hope the people here are friendly. That will make our stay easier. We were very silent, until the youngster started crying. The mother tried shushing him, but just made the baby cry worse. Poor woman, that baby is giving her a hard time. Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms dram me down, covering my vision  . Shoot we've been caught.

I was thrown to the ground, soon i heard a few grunts and thuds. "Tell us who you are and what is your reason to be here?!" A woman shouted with a strong voice.

" We aint telling you nothing!"

.

"Shut up Rin, you are going to make them thing we are their enemies!"

"Oh yeah once they see your face, they will run away in terror!!"

"ENOUGH!!" Yelled the eldest of our group, Nina Chang. " You two cant stop bickering, we are in a life threatening situation and you still fight!! What a shame!!".  I could feel the confused gazes of our captures upon us. They must think we are some kind of hobos or something. I felt the cloth around my eyes be removed, and standing in front of me was a tall elegant lady, a group of young girls all dressed in similar clothing, and a young boy beside them. 

"Hey you, yes you, you're kinda cute"....

Seriously Rin, not the time." Ohh w-why thank you" responded the flustered kid. I heard the lady right next to me ,Saki, say "We are a group of Airbenders who ran away from the Fire Nation during their attack on the Southern Air Temple. We mean no harm, all we want is a place to stay. If you think we will cause problems, I can assure you the Fire Nation has no idea we are alive. Please give us a place to live."

The mayor of the town, I assume, smiles at us and then claps her hands signaling to her warriors to untie us. She tells us to follow her until we reach a building. It was a nice place, clean and pretty spacious. " You can live here for as long as you want. Go down to the market for food. Oh and we will have a feast tonight, in honor of you all. I sense a powerful aura within the group.".

With that we all got settled in to out new home.

-    Time skip   -

" Oh but that boy was kinda cute don't you think Sumire?" asked my friend Rin. I looked at her with slight disapproving eyes.' I don't want your heart broken again Rin'.  Hinata rolled his eyes and mocked Rin. " Yeah Yeah, he isn't that cool, I mean he does have muscles....and a sharp jawline.... and pretty hair...pretty hair... but that's not the point!!! I'm so much better than a kid like him. He's probably some playboy. And he looks about 2 years older than you!!". Rin shot daggers at Hinata. Oh boy poor Hinata. She got up and smiled. " Well, imma go wash up, cant be all dirty to meet my future husband."

As she left skipping and humming a happy tune, Hinata huffed. He flopped back while sighing. "Why doesn't she love me Sumi?". I patted his head." Maybe you should be nicer, not tease her all the time.". I told him. I don't know much about love, never really felt that romantic feeling that Rin always feels." But it's cute when shes mad!". I dont know what to say, so I just smiled at him. " She'll come around someday".

Little did he know Rin heard the whole thing.

" Today we gather to honor the arrival of our new guests, the Air Nomads!!"

The crowd cheers, yelling out things like " I love their tattoos" " That girl is pretty-" " Shut it, cant you see that boy next to her heard you. He's probably her boyfriend." Indeed, Hinata was giving them a look that could kill, but blushed when he heard the last part. We all sat together, feasting on the beautiful meal. Rin was trying to create small talk with the island boy, who seemed to be amused by my friend. Hinata was slumped over, snaking on an apple.

As the feast ended, we all cleaned up and went home. I brushed my hair out, next to Rin who was daydreaming about the boy named Carson, or something like that. " And then, he grabbed my hand and kissed it!!! It was so romantic" 

"Keep your voice down Rin" Yelled a tired Hinata from the other room." Some people are trying to sleep, not hear love stories."

"Alright"

WOOO Another chapter down on the same day!! This one was longer but kind of boring. What are your opinions? I hope you have a good day/night/morning/evening. Stay hydrated and have a nice snack today/tomorrow.
