Uncle Val was giving me a speech on handing my work in on time and messing around in classes and to get to them on time. I zoned out and looked out of the car window, I saw the mums and dads taking the children to school, the kids skipping along and the parents watching as their children's play happily.
I can't recall one time my parents took me to school. I do remember a memory when I was a little girl before my parents sent me away. We was at our old house and we was in the back yard and my mother was sat under the shaded tree watching me and my father play a game. I can't remember what game it was something silly but I remember that memory fondly I also remember my dad stopping every three minutes to put suncream on.. "Good Luck" I drifted back to reality Uncle Val was looking at me "Are you feeling okay?" I nodded as we pulled up outside a tall brick building. I stepped out of the car ignoring Uncle Val. I started walking away towards the entrance "You forgot your pencil case." Val shouted. I gritted my teeth and walked back to the car and got it and them slammed the door shut. I turned around and left, a few people were on the steps laughing at me and pointing. I felt like digging a hole and burying myself right there and certainly right now. Students were everywhere opening and closing lockers. I felt like I couldn't breathe I hurried into the girls toilets. A couple of girls dressed in blue and white cheerleading constumes were busy talking and doing their makeup they didn't even notice me I locked myself in the second cubicle I just stood there for a moment and waited for them to leave, the bell went an suddenly the loud noises outside got quieter and quieter until they just stopped. I unlocked the door and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror I smartened myself up and left I was wondering the corridors I didn't have a clue where I was I heard footsteps coming towards me getting louder I speeded up I could still hear them. "You there" I carried on walking praying they didn't mean me. "Don't you dare move" The foot steps got nearer I spun round and before I knew it a short smartly dressed woman was standing right in front of me tapping her foot impatiently. "Why aren't you in class?" She spoke sternly. "I-I'm new." I stuttered. "Oh .. Welcome to South High I didn't catch your name darling?" Her tone changed dramatically. "Come this way child we must get you to class" I followed her upstairs and into a room full of students staring at me. "Miss Lee, This here is?..." She looked at me I froze, I felt completely on the spot I tried to smile but I just couldn't. "Right well er, just sit here" I sat down next to a red headed girl.
The class went by very quick, everyone was grabbing their belongings no one paid me the slightest bit attention and I was happy with that.
Come lunch time I didn't know what to do Uncle Val said I would of made friends by now but so far I haven't.
I walked round the corridors hoping someone would talk to me.
no one did I walked down some stairs and found a janitors closest. I sat down on a upside down bucket and started munching on my lunch. I looked around the small space and sighed..
