Strange meetings

"Laura" I looked up Miss Read was looking at my work I panicked I didn't do much. She looked at me sternly but dismissed me and the others for a break. I thought she was going to flip out. I've done hardly any work. Never the less I got my things together and left with everyone else.

Claudine, Loraine, Cleo and Frankie were the last ones out. "Hey." I turned around and saw the girl from my class looking at me. She was smiling radiantly. "It's scary isn't it? You know being new, I hated my first day I didn't blend in. I didn't know what to wear, my hair wasn't going right. I felt a state. My makeup was smudgin- I'm rambling aren't I? I'm so sorry." No I .. I don't mind. It's nice to talk to someone. "Aw, well that's nice. I'm Frankie!"

Laura, erm do you know where Mr Ronald's class is? I have him next and I'm hopeless for finding places. "Sure I do. Well me and Claudine have Maths next too. We could walk together if you want?" Alright.

Claudine and Lorraine was making their way over to Franke. "Hi Frankie, I got you a chocolate milkshake, a strawberry one for me and a caramel crunchy for Blue." It felt really weird while they were talking about different events going on the past weeks. "This is Laura. She's new!" Frankie said as she pulled me forward into the little group. "Sup little grasshopper?" Lorraine spoke with a completely different accent than the others. "Excuse Blue she's a little ditzy. I'm Claudine." Oh it's fine. I love her voice. "I'm from Australia but my parents came to this country and well.. We just fell in love with it. It's ace!" I live with my Uncle I suppose I didn't really have much choice. We all carried on talking about different gossip. "That's Sepira. She gets all the latest and greatest. Oh I gotta paddle, See you later gals" Lorraine sprinted off for her next class.

Should we get going? "No, not yet. We still have a couple of minutes." Claudine said as she fluffed her hair up with a bit of bounce. "Brett!" Frankie ran up to some guy smothered in black clothing and facial piercings. "Hey I've been meaning to talk to you. What you doing tonight?"Brett spoke softly. "Nothing, lets meet up!" Brett smiled "Of course."

Frankie and Brett walked over to us. "This is Laura" he nodded and I felt accepted by everyone. "I've got to go, see you tonight" He kissed Frankie quickly and dashed off.

"We better go too." Claudine said.
