Ending Of The Extermination

"Adam! Lute! My office, NOW!" Sera, High Seraphim, called over the PA System in the Heavenly Court House.

"Seriously? We just got back from Hell and released from the hospital!" Lute stated, huffing.

"I know, but unfortunately we don't have a choice!" I stated, fluttering my wings in annoyance.

"Let's just get this over with!" She said, throwing up her one arm into the air. I followed her towards the office.

"Welcome!" Sera said when we entered, looking grave.

"Problem your Highness?" Lute asked.

"Yes! Two of the Highest Archangels want to meet us!" She said.

"What? When? Where?" Lute asked.

"We are to meet them in the Excorsist Barracks as soon as possible!" Sera said, coming around her desk. Emily stood as well from her plush seat in front of the desk.

"You know what's going on Sera?" Lute asked.

"Not at all!" Sera said, "Adam, if you please!"

"K!" I mumbled, opening a portal to the Barracks. We all stepped through and the portal closed behind us. As we walked into the building, I noticed a couple scientists, one I recognized and they were looking over a formula in a notebook that was completely wrong, I secretly scoffed, realizing they wanted help plants grow healthier and stronger naturally, but had a formula for an explosive when interacting with plant life. I rolled my eyes and followed Sera, Emily, and Lute into the Barracks.

"Good to see you!" Michael, the Archangel, said when we were in the main training center.

"Michael! Raphael!" Sera said in return.

"We need help! The girls here aren't calming down when we tell them too!" Raphael stated, gesturing to the rowdy Excorsists.

"Girls! Fall in!" Lute snapped, but the others were still freaking out.

"What do we do?" Michael asked. I rolled my eyes, knowing Lute had no experience calming them down, only riling them up before an extermination.

I let out an ear piercing whistle, getting everyone's attention, "Girls, get in formation and please pay attention!" I stated. They settled down and looked to us.

"Thank you!" Raphael said to me, "now this isn't going to be easy to hear, but since Michael and I had no knowledge of the Exterminations, and obviously didn't approve, plus with the proof Redemption is possible thanks to Sir Pentious, we're shutting down the Army and the Extermination!"

The girls erupted into Chaos once again and I just rolled my eyes. I gave another whistle to get their attention.

"Now I know you're all upset about the news, but we will help you all find new places of employment!" Michael said.

A massive explosion outside shook the building and everyone ran outside. The two scientists were on the ground and covered in scorch marks.

"What happened?" Sera asked as she and Emily helped the scientists up.

"We don't know! We were testing a new recipe for plant health, but unfortunately it had this result!" The one I recognized stated.

"Because you're formula and recipe aren't actually a plant health serum, in fact it would have this exact reaction because the way the ingredients are mixed in these concentrations and in combination with the type of spray bottle react horrible with plant life!" I said without thinking.

"What? How would you know?" The other scientist asked. I explained the way one chemical in particular was completely explosive in reaction to the plastic polymer in the spray bottle and the other plant reactive material mixed in with the explosive chemical caused this because it was a freak accident they reacted when mixed.
