One year later...
My alarm started blaring, lurching me from my dreams.
"Damn it!" I whined under my breath, sitting up. I shut off my alarm, stood up, went into my closet, and pulled on some boxers and my mainly white robe, easing my wings into the holes in the back.
"Adam!" Tara shrieked into my ear when I picked up the phone when she called using her mom's phone.
"Does your mommy know you called me?" I asked when I grabbed my keys and wallet before going down the stairs.
"Yes she does!" She lied.
"Ok, why'd you call then?" I asked, smiling as I opened the mystical, interdimentinal pocket in my robe, of which I created and know the spell too, and inserted my keys and wallet.
"I want to stay with you today instead of going to school!" She said.
"I have to work today sweety, plus, you have to go to school in order to learn important things and get very smart!" I said, leaving my penthouse and locked the door.
"Please Adam!?" She pleaded.
"I cant!" I said, opening a portal into their house. I quietly snuck up on her and quickly scooped her up in my arms, earning a squeal from her.
"Adam, what are you doing here?" Bria asked when she rushed into the room when she heard Tara squeak.
"Well, your mischievous little daughter here called me with your phone and tried getting me to miss work and spend the day with her since she didn't want to go to school!" I stated, plucking the phone from Tara's tiny hands, hung it up, and handed it back to Bria.
"Thanks for this!" She said, gesturing to her phone, "and you young lady know better, you need to go to school and Adam needs to go to work!"
"But mommy!" Tara whined.
"You do want to get smarter don't you? And get plenty of knowledge? Huh?" I asked, looking down at her.
"Yeah!" She whispered, sulking.
"So go to school please!" I said, smiling.
"Ok!" She said.
"Good Girl! Now go get your backpack sweetie!" Bria said.
"Ok mommy!" Tara said, running off.
"You sure you don't have any experience with kids older then 18 months?" She asked with a smile.
"Yes! As soon as the kids hit 18 months, Eve insisted taking over raising them!" I stated.
"At least you're naturally good with Tara, she absolutely adores you!" She said with a chuckle.
"And I adore her!" I added.
"I'm ready!" Tara cried, running back up to us.
"Let's go then!" Bria told the girl before turning to me, "and I expect to see you at work!"
"Of course Ma'am!" I stated with a smile and a chuckle.

"Ahhhhh! Lunchtime!" I said to myself while leaning back in my desk chair and stretched back, locking my fingers together, leaning back, popping my back.
I logged out of my computer before locking the door to my office. When that was done, I opened a portal in an ally just outside a McMichael's.
"I'm starving!" I stated, leaving the alley and going inside. I went to the back of the line and I heard a few gasps and giggles behind me.
