Natalie - Dangerous?

Awkward. That is the only thing you think when you are being carried. Now I'm not saying I'm not grateful, no, not at all. Heck, I cant even walk! What am I going to do, protest? Anyways, this strange girl, Night, I think is what she called herself? Yeah, well she took be to this place where there was a rock overhang. She had a nice area inside. She set me down in one of the chairs and handed me some random stuff. How in the world did she get this stuff? I thought silently, didn't matter, there was medical tape and cloth and some rubber bands. So, I wrapped over the wound with some medical tape, and then wrapped over that a little tighter with some cloth, and then put rubber bands around it to keep it in place.

"Oh, yeah, here's your arrow." I took the arrow from my empty quiver and handed it to Night, who, for some strange reason that I will probably never know, grunted. Soon Night took her arrows and went hunting. Being a ShadowDemon means either being really tired or really hyper or grumpy all the time. I was tired at the moment, and this was probably the safest place I would sleep in awhile. So, I propped my feet over the back of the chair and let my head hang upside down and fell asleep like that.

"Natalie.... I brought food, want some?" Night spoke in a soft tone. Which surprised me considering she had tried to murder me earlier. I grumbled something, that probably wasn't audible, and spun around slowly in my chair so I was in a sitting position. Night handed me some raw meat. Which, was actually better than anything I had eaten in a long time, which was nothing. She stopped me before I ate it and handed me a stick. Which I took and stuck the meat on it and put it in the fire to cook. If they gave out a certificate for impatience, I would have about twenty.

I'm pretty sure Night could tell I wasn't a fan of this whole 'slow cooking' idea, because she soon spoke up. "Don't eat that yet. You will get poisoned and I cannot help that." I let out a long sigh and continued cooking my food. When it was finally done, I tore into it. I was not a slow eater and if you call me 'un-lady like' I will rip your face off. Night laughed slightly, but what did I care. I hadn't eaten anything for a long time! Night ate more slowly, but she probably ate everyday.

Soon after I fell asleep. I woke up sometime later. It was daylight, Night was already up. I got up and winced some and stretched. "Good morning sleepy head" I laughed slightly at her little joke. Then I remembered I was supposed to meet someone at the cafe in town. "Hey, do you want to come with me to the cafe? It won't tale long" Night nodded slightly in response. We both walked out, Night yielding her bow, I was still limping so I had to go slower and walk behind her.

When we reached the town cafe we both sat down and ordered lemon-aid. The same dark shadowy figure exploded next to me, scaring me slightly, "what do you need Rague?" I spoke in a irritated quiet voice.  I knew the normalities couldn't see him, and he was giving anyone in a ten foot radius a headache. "Two things, you are not safe here, the person you are meeting is a fraud, and your friend across the table isn't who she seems." Night looked irritated,  I knew she couldn't see him and had a headache and probably thought I was nuts.

I tried to shoo him away, which totally drew attention to us. I made him visible to only Night, so she didn't think I was mentally insane. "Get out of here before I have to show my power." I was getting slightly worried, when I remembered Rague couldn't be shot, sense he was a shadow. "You can't shoot him, it's not possible" she shook her head "I don't need to" I was getting slightly more worried, Rague looked panicky. "You can't trust her miss, she's very dangerous" I grunted in response "she wouldn't draw her bow in a public area" hopefully, I added silently to my statement. "Are you saying I'm not dangerous?" I nodded "Yeah, I am"

Very suddenly, Night was a dragon. Rague screamed and exploded into the ground. I fell out of my chair and shrieked. "WHAT IN THE ROLEMEE?!! YOUR'E A DRAGON" Night looked pleased that I was scared and that Rague was gone, "indeed I am" I had been keeping my calm and trying to hold in my true nature, but I lost it. My skin turned a light shade of grey, and my eyes turned yellow with black pupils. Short, little, blue horns popped out of my skull, slightly painfully. My nails where now black and and talon like. "What in the world happened to you?!" she shrieked slightly. I was in trouble now, I stood up and tried to walk away as quickly as possible. I had spotted the 'Demon and the Different' Hunter a little too late.

The man tackled me to the ground and held a blade to the skin on my throat, he looked around twenty and I knew I could never get him off, much less run away. He growled slightly "I've got you now!!" I squirmed a bit, his breath smelled horrible. That's when I realized Night, the dragon , was behind him, ready to torch him. I gave her a small wink. I knew I probably didn't have enough energy to do what I was about to do, but I had to try. Night knew if she torched him, that blade would impale her throat, but she gave it a shot when I winked at her.

I felt the cold flames and Shadow-Morphed. I could feel my body disperse into several different shadows before recollecting into one. The man was laying on the ground, in agony, completely burned. Now we where in trouble, the normalities where screaming, they probably saw Night, holding a flame thrower, completely torching the dude. She was now human, I ran over to her and grabbed her arm and started running. She didn't have to be told, and soon she was dragging me along. I heard the sirens and knew we needed a fast way to get out of there.

I made a Shadow-Portal and jumped through it, but that was the last of my energy. So I accidentally let go of Night and lost consciousness. Falling through the Shadow Void was a dangerous thing, if you didn't get out soon enough you would eventually hit a ground and die. It was up to Night to see a window and jump through it. If she chose to bring me, well that was her choice.
