I woke up a little while later, and groaned. Some fragments of a plan where starting to form in the back of my mind. Maybe if I told them I was hungry they would have to open the cage door to put some food in. I'm not hungry, and I am definitely not stupid, no way would I eat whatever they put in here anyways, no, I was looking for escape. I sat up and got ready, "Um, hello? I'm kinda hungry...." I had to raise my voice slightly, no one was in here. Two Mage's entered the room, but they didn't look friendly. They smirked and snickered until finally, one drew a long bladed dagger and poked it through one of the holes on my small cage.
I was ready to back out of my plan now, "You know, I'm actually not that hungry anymore." I gulped and laughed nervously. Maybe they will leave me alone, I stayed away front the blade, but didn't even see the one behind me until I felt the stab in the small of my back. I moved away from that blade and fell forward into the one in front of me. The blade sank in near my collar bone painfully. I didn't even see all the Mage's gathering around the cage. I felt another cold blade jab into my side. and moved the the right, trying to escape that one, but only falling into another on in my arm. I felt a blade drag on the skin of my ankle, My blood was dark blue all over their blade's.
I guess I'm lucky that one of these Mage's is stupid, he obviously wanted to get a better aim n stabbing me, because he opened the cage. Like a bird I lunged out of that small cage and knocked two of them out of my way. I then ran as fast as I possibly could, I could here the sneakers of one of the younger male Mage's shoes pounding behind me, they where catching me and there was nothing I could do about it. I heard some whispered cursing ahead of me and I hesitated, worst mistake of my life. I felt a tug on the back of my hoodie and went flying into a wall.
Moaning I tried to crawl away, only to receive a hard kick in my side. I could hear them snickering plans back and forth, trying to decide if they want to kill me or not, most sounded in favor of that and half of me was agreeing. I pushed myself up a few inches, receiving another painful kick, this time in my skull. I collapsed and nearly lost consciousness.
I stayed motionless this time, my vision darkening and my senses dimming. I could still hear them, but they sounded distant. Suddenly I felt cold hands grab my wrists and pin them above my head, I moaned some and looked away from the person above me. Pain suddenly rippled through my side, I had been stabbed yet again, but this time deeper. They kept the sharp blade in my side for a long time it seemed, probably only seconds, but it felt like an hour. Then I felt the blade start twisting, I screamed in agony, pain was rippling off the wound in rapid waves. It was almost unbearable. He finally took the blade out and let me go.
I knew I was probably dead, I stared blankly up at the cruel faces above me, tears falling down my face as I wheezed slightly, my warm sticky blood covered my sides and arms. Suddenly I wasn't laying on the ground, but instead in a familiar teenage boys arms. He ran off with me, the Mage's concentration was shattered and they where completely disbanded. I moaned and clung to my friend "Rague...." my voice was quiet and somewhat difficult to understand. Rague suddenly slid to a stop, and then he snarled at something in front of us.
I felt the presence of water surround us, Rague let out a shriek and I whimpered some. I could now hear Glory talking in her evil tone, "And you, Night. You have betrayed your own people, starting that war" I shiver ran down my spine, Night was here, was she on my side or was she trying to kill me and Rague. "You can let Natalie and Rague leave. They have nothing to do with ANYTHING about the war." Night spoke in a harsh tone, I knew now she was on my side, but trust was something very difficult for Demons to gain after they lost it. "You've got Night wrong. She did the right thing and you people paid her back in the wrong way" Rague snarled "And I'm not leaving without either of them"
Suddenly I was air-born, it happened so fast I didn't have time to process. I flew through the shadow portal and onto a grassy plane. I rolled a few times and then remained there. Rague had threw me through the Shadow portal to keep me safe, but now I had no idea if Night and him where okay. If they weren't then I was most likely already dead.
