"Dad I said I was sorry... What else do you want from me?!" I exclaimed to my father.

August- I want you to stop seeing him!

Zion- No! I will not stop seeing him just because you can't deal with your daughter dating. For gosh sakes dad, I'm in college! Let me live my life!

I have never spoken to my dad in such a harsh tone. He has always intimidated me. I never really stood up to him... but in this case it was mandatory for me too express my feelings and to show him that I will live my life for me and not for anyone else. I don't care who it is. I have always lived my life for my fans, my dads fans, my mothers fans.... Never for Zion Chellan Alsina and quite frankly... I'm tired of that. If it takes me yelling at my dad then so be it. By now my fathers nostrils are flaring. I can tell, what's about to come out of his mouth... Is going to make me regret talking to him the way I have. I'm surprised that my mother hasn't intruded in our heated discussion. I took a quick glance in her direction and she looked taken back.

August- Well looks like you will not honor my decision... Your mother and I did our very best to raise you. Your on your own Zion. I am sorry with interfering in your love life. It just bothers me that my little girl isn't little anymore. It's time for me to release you into the world and let you see how cold it is. This world Zion is ready for you. But you aren't ready for it. You don't know who you are exactly. You have more power then you think. Baby girl remember your name. Make sure that anyone you come close too, you know won't betray you. Think about it, my best friend betrayed me to another gang and got me shot for $2000 funky dollars. This world will push you up and make you feel like your on top of it just to bust your bubble and body slam you to hurt and betrayal. They won't do anything but laugh at you baby girl. Baby girl to this world, your naïve. You will never be the perfect little Zion...daughter of August and K Michelle Alsina that you think you are. I'm busting your bubble now before anyone else gets the chance too. I have kept you in my shadow for long enough. It's time for me too move out of the way and let you fight your own battles. I love you Zion Chellan Alsina.

My father just poured out his heart to me. This is my first time ever seeing him open up towards me in that way. I guess it was time. I walked over to his tall frame and embraced him. He wrapped his arms around me. I rested my head on his chest and whispered to him our catch phrase. He joined in with me towards the middle.

Zion- Zion loves Dad. Dad loves Zion. Whatever we do, our love will stay vibrant.

We shared a small laugh. We have been saying that since I was 6.

"I don't want to go to sleep Mom!" I expressed to my tired mother. She had just gotten back from an all day interview not to far from our house. My grandmother was in town and she kept me today. I haven't seen my parents today because they were gone when I woke up. They have been home for about an hour and they already want me to go to bed. But I don't want too. Sometimes I wish that my parents would just get normal jobs and be normal people like my friend Kiya's mother and father. She has the best life although she wants celebrity parents like mine. "Come on Zion, I'll tuck you in baby girl..." My father said. I sighed before grabbing his hand and walking towards my room. I jumped in my bed before laying on my back grabbing my teddy bear, Mr. Beary Bear. He sleeps with me at night. My dad took my cover and pulled it over me. I pulled out my arms from beneath the cover along with Mr. Beary Bear. My dad spoke. "Zion, let's make a pact." My father said.
"What's that daddy?" I asked. "A pact is like a catch phrase. Something that only you and I would know. We will say it during special times and only we will know what we are saying. Got it?" He explained. "Got it." I responded. "Um, how about... I love you. You love me. We love each other,"-GCO "No!" I said cutting him off. "No?!" He said tickling me a little. I laughed hysterically trying to pry his hands off of me. He finally stopped. "Okay, well how about... Zion loves dad. Dad loves Zion. Whatever we do, our love will stay vibrant...?" He said. I placed my right hand on my chin pretending to think before I nodded yes. He smiled and he pecked my lips. "Gimme another one." He said. I smiled up at him and pecked my dads lips once more. He smiled before lifting himself, using my bed as a brace. He reached for my night light, turning it on. He walked towards the door and turned my big light off before slightly closing my door. "I love you dad!" I yelled out. "I love you too." He responded. I turned over and fell asleep with Mr. Beary Bear in my arms.
