i'm so sorry if this chapter is bad I felt so scattered writing it and I struggled a lot with it :(

Pale sunshine crept past the blinds on the window, trailing a beam of warmth across Wooyoung's peacefully resting face. The boy hadn't yet awoken, too deep in his mind to feel the sun kissing his tan skin.

Beside him, San lay with his eyes glued to the ceiling, a sense of peace settling over him as he focused on the soft rhythmic exhales from the boy beside him. His mind wandered with thoughts, mostly consisting of the stranger next to him. He was nothing more than that, just a name to San. He didn't have any idea of Wooyoung's personal life, a mere few words shared out of hostility was all he could work with.

Are you awake? I don't think I can sleep without you.

That simple sentence, enough to set off a bout of alarms through the brunettes head. The question has been asked in such a vulnerable tone, yet sounded so regretful the moment it has been uttered. San involuntarily sighed and flitted his eyes to the mess of white hair that sat bunched up next to his shoulder. Why are you so mean to me?

He wanted to ask, but he knew the only thing to be achieved was a harsh look and a scowl. San slowly removed himself from the bed, careful to retrieve his hand, which had been buried under Wooyoung's body; his hand had been there for hours, with the younger rolling over and trapping it, yet San didn't want to awaken him, suffering through the limpness it now held.

Instead of wandering to the bathroom as he intended, the male headed towards the door, remembering his interaction with Keonhee just a few hours ago.

Three knocks left San to jolt from his rest, panicked eyes shooting towards the door. His heart rate scrambled to catch up with his breathing, leaving quite the unsteady rhythm. The door slowly opened and San audibly exhaled, dropping his head back down on the pillow with a look of relief crossing his face.

"San? You're awake?"

Keonhee's gentle whisper floated into the room as he slipped over to stand beside the bed, warm eyes gazed down on the sleepy boy. "Just woke." San mumbled, voice on the line of being a murmur and whisper. The therapist nodded and sat down on the side of the bed, careful to not touch either of the two.

"How's Woo? I see he let you sleep on the bed."

Keonhee asked, a bit of an amused tone slipping his voice. San nodded and let his eyes flutter closed, his lips parted as he regained his lost breath. Not many words were shared after that, just the quiet inhale and exhales from the sleeping boy.

"It's crazy,"

San opened his eyes as Keonhee began, pulling himself up a bit to show his attention was pulled.

"Just a couple days ago, Wooyoung went through hell and back trying to get to sleep. Always said something about being stuck in Wonderland when he actually did fall asleep. But with you... it's like a switch flipped. It's only been three nights, but it's interesting to me. Yesterday he told me he didn't get sleep.. did you sleep in the same bed?"

Upon this information, the brunette was rather shocked, his thoughts running loosely throughout his mind. "No, I didn't. Just the first night and last night." He finally murmured, sending a brief glance to Wooyoung.
