The wind had died down for the past few days, rendering the city mercilessly humid as rain refused to fall. Jisung fanned himself with his hand as he stepped out of his apartment. His head was slightly heavy as he felt the effects of last night's visit to the club. Seungmin had called him early this morning in a complete tizzy because Hyunjin wasn't home and wasn't answering any of his texts. Jisung called Chan to ask about it and well... Hyunjin was at his apartment, "sleeping" in the same bed apparently. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to figured that one out.
Jisung immediately began teasing Chan about it. He knew just how much of a guilty pleasure Hyunjin's dance videos were for him, often staring mindlessly at his phone after he received the notification that one was just posted. He was genuinely happy for his friend, if this was a one-off thing or more deep and intense, he was supportive either way. It's not like he can control the actions of a grown man anyway.
Jisung huffed as he got on the bus, the vehicle wobbling as it navigated its way through the traffic that was already starting to appear. He got off with Changbin, waiting outside of the salon for Chan who would eventually join them.
Soon enough, the blond rocked up, his gait slightly different, and Jisung knew why. He hadn't told Changbin yet, so his roommate was still confused as to why Jisung was smiling that shit eating grin of his. He wolf-whistled as the singer got closer, a dimpled smile on his face.
"So, how was last night?" The silver haired boy asked, nudging him with his elbow, his smirk widening as Chan rolled his eyes sassily, poking back.
"None of your business." He responded, pushing past him to enter the salon. Jisung sighed through his nose in mock anger, his brows furrowing with annoyance.
"Aw, come on! I'm not asking for details, I just want like a... general review of how it went." He explained and Chan rolled his eyes again. Changbin looked up from his phone, officially confused.
"I'm lost, what the hell happened last night?" He tried, raising one sceptical eyebrow. Jisung glanced at the blond who warned him off with his eyes. The younger looked back at Changbin, his vicious smile back with a vengeance.
"Nothing ha-"
"Hyunjin and Chan fucked."
"JISUNG!" Chan shouted as he slapped the rapper over the head, earning a small wince, followed by a stream of insults.
"Oh yeah I saw them kissing." Changbin explained, his tone surprisingly nonchalant for the situation. The oldest blinked and so did Jisung. "Didn't think you'd have the balls to do so after months of fawning over him, but congrats on finally growing a pair!" The dark haired rapper commented, making Chan slap him instead. "Hey! I'm just telling the truth!" He said defensively, pushing the older into the salon. They were beginning to look like a band of idiots, loitering outside of some random hairdresser salon.
The hairdressers inside greeted and they quickly got settled down into their seats after having shown them exactly what they wanted. Chan was getting a touch up on his roots along with a small trim. Changbin was staying simple as well, just cleaning up his ends, leaving his hair to grow out some more. He was aiming for a kind of mullet by the end of the year, he wasn't quite there yet but he had the spirit.
Jisung, on the other hand, was switching everything up, going for a new hair colour entirely. He'd refused to tell the boys about it no matter how many times they tried searching through his phone or pestering him endlessly. He'd stayed perfectly silent and they had eventually given up, but today they would see what he had been planning and hopefully, they'll like it.
*~~~*
"And you're done!" Exclaimed the cheery hairdresser as she placed a mirror at the rear of Jisung's head, allowing him to look at the back of his hairdo. His heart sunk in his chest. It didn't quite come out the way he'd originally thought it would. He swallowed around a lump in his throat.
