Jeff woke up to a buzzing and ringing sound coming from Alan's side of the bed. The mattress moved slightly before the noise stopped. He felt a warm touch on his arm.

"Nu, wake up. We have to get ready to go to the airport" Alan's soft voice cut through the silence.

Jeff yawned and stretched, the light blue covers falling off the bed exposing his half naked body.

"Nu, don't do that or we'll be late!" Alan teased "Come on, get up and in the shower, I'll go make us some food", He kissed him on the forehead as he left the room.

Forty minutes later they were in Alan's Jeep on the way to the airport. Alan was smiling like a Cheshire cat. He's really excited, Jeff thought. He didn't know why but he just had the urge to reach out and hold his boyfriend's free hand.

Alan had arranged valet parking, so they pulled up at the front of the airport and unloaded their cases. He handed the keys over to the driver hesitantly, and watched his Jeep get driven away before they headed into the terminal building. Jeff stared at him as he looked up at the departure screen, scanning it for their flight number and gate.

"This way" He said, leading Jeff to the left, still not revealing where exactly they were going.

As they walked up to the check-in counter, Alan reached out and took Jeff's case, the brush of his fingertips sending a shiver up Jeff's arm.

Once they had checked in, Alan took Jeff's hand and led them toward their boarding gate. Jeff loved how Alan wasn't phased about touching him in public. He was happy that everyone could see that Alan was his.

"Surprise" Alan said as he turned to face Jeff, waving his arms in the air, pointing toward the gate sign.

"We're going to Koh Samui?" Jeff asked.

Alan nodded, "Hmm. Well actually we're going to Koh Phangan. We'll get the boat transfer. I've booked a beach resort. You like the beach right? There's loads to see and do there, great food, fantastic beaches" Alan's voice trailed off as he saw the blank look on Jeff's face.

"Nu. You know we don't have to go if you don't want to. No big deal. I'm stupid, I should have asked you first if you like the beach". Alan was standing in front of Jeff nervously awaiting a response, any response.

Jeff met his gaze and flung himself forward, crashing into Alan's chest. He wrapped his arms around his neck in a tight grip. "Thank you, Lung. No one's ever taken me anywhere".

Alan smiled the biggest smile as he reciprocated the tight hug. "You want to go right?" He asked, still looking for reassurance.

Jeff pulled back, "Yes, of course I want to go".

The short flight was smooth. Alan held his boyfriend's hand the whole way. Jeff knew people were looking at them and, in the past he wouldn't have liked the attention, but now, all he cared about was Alan and how great it felt to be with him.

Just as Alan had said, once they arrived in Koh Samui they got the boat transfer to Phangan. Jeff was amazed, the water was so clear and blue and he could taste the salty breeze. Their resort was a short taxi ride from the boat dock. As they drove through the town, Jeff admired the beautiful buildings. There were exotic looking restaurants and a bustling market. Jeff made a mental note to ask Alan if they could visit the following day.

When they pulled up at their destination, Jeff's first thought was how much this trip must have cost. The building was beautiful, set amongst lush greenery. Alan got their bags from the taxi and ushered Jeff inside. The foyer was even more spectacular. Shiny marble lined the floors and walls. A magnificent glass chandelier hung in the centre of the huge domed ceiling. Jeff caught up with Alan and tugged gently on the edge of his shirt.
