Stranger Phase

In the crowd, a face I knew,
Once my crush, my heart's debut.
But now a stranger, distant, unknown,
The spark extinguished, love outgrown.

We pass like ships in the night,
No longer bound by love's sweet light.
Memories linger, a bittersweet trace,
Of a time when you were my heart's embrace.

Yet time moves on, and feelings change,
The heart finds new paths to rearrange.
Though once you held a special place,
Now you're just a phase, a fleeting grace.

So here's to the stranger who used to be,
A chapter closed, but still a memory.
For in the dance of life, we flow,
And sometimes love's tide comes and goes.
