Macy always knew the chance of Blaine getting deployed was very high, He wouldn't have joined the army if he didn't want to help save people's lives. She deep down would hope that the Base Commander would keep his word to not deploy Blaine, but the Army is his first and Main priority, Blaine worked on Army vehicles here at base to make sure they were up to regulation standards, when something went out, or broke Blaine was always the one to fix it. He understood that he had the chance to be ordered to go to combat areas to fix damaged vehicles as well, He also kept the secret that he was also training in Infantry combat like his father but wanted to hide that part of his career until it was finally time to tell Macy. He just thought he would never get the call as there were only four other personnel in this field of work. Blaine got deployed to Iraq when Dayton was two years old. Even though Dayton was young and didn't realize what was going on. Blaine had quite a hard time leaving because his fear to leave his family came true, he also didn't know how long he would be gone. Macy made sure that when Blaine was in Iraq she would video call him and let him see Dayton, every night they could. Blaine ended up being over in Iraq for a year. When he returned home Dayton was three years old, and started understanding that the man he saw almost every night was finally in person. Blaine and Macy didn't know how much time they would have together so they went on a date night. Blaine has been home a little over a year and a half, Macy was starting to get morning sickness. Dayton was playing in the toy room with Blaine when he heard the phone ring. He had this pain in his stomach like somebody grabbed his stomach and was twisting it. He went over to the phone on the wall and let it ring one more time, then he picked it up. "Hello" answered Blaine. "Is this Lieutenant Blaine ?" asked the strong deep voice of a man. "Yes, sir it is," replied Blaine . "Your next deployment is in twenty-four hours, start packing, please meet at Fort Jackson camp base at 6 pm" replied the man's voice. Macy knew that he was getting ready for his second deployment, so she went and helped him pack so he could finish playing with Dayton. While Blaine was playing with Dayton he had tears in his eye's Dayton noticed. "Daddy, why are you crying?" "Cause bubba daddy is gonna be leaving for a while" replied Blaine. "But, Daddy, I don't want you to leave. I want you to stay here so you don't get hurt" replied Dayton. "I know Bubba but that's not how it works, daddy has to go save people" replied Blaine. Blaine leaves the toy room to go help Macy finish packing. Blaine walks in and Macy is sitting there on the bed with a picture of them as a family. "When and where do you have to go now?" asked Macy. "My flight leaves at six, so I'll have to be at Fort Jackson by 5," replied Blaine. "I just want you to be safe love, especially with Dayton and now that we are expecting another one," exclaimed Macy. "I know honey, When I first got into this career I told them I didn't want to go into combat, but the vehicles we have over there nobody else will go we only have four personnel in this specialty." replied Blaine. "That's not the point Blaine, I told you I didn't want you to deploy with the history of the accidents that took both parents. I don't know how I would live raising now two kids by myself! I love you babe but this is the exact reason I don't want you to leave this base to go into combat." explained Macy.
