Macy ended up having to explain to Dayton that daddy wasn't coming home, that he was in the sky and was watching down on him and sissy as well as mommy. Macy's heart broke when she had to sit her four year old child down and tell him the news. However, this didn't stop Macy from doing her job and taking care of Dayton and Malory. Yes, it was hard for Macy to take care of two kids by herself and she wished that Blaine would just come home and help her, but she knew that he wouldn't be coming home. She can't wait to see Blaine in the sky and be together once again. Macy makes sure to share photos of their family and especially ones of Blaine to the kids, hoping they won't forget what courage and strength their daddy had to serve and help save this country. Macy eventually had to quit her daytime job to care for the kids. Blaine's dad is always willing to help when Macy needs it, even if it is just to get out of the house to be able to get some alone time or to go hang out with friends from her old high school. With Macy quitting her job she eventually had to move off base, Blaine's dad didn't want to take the chance of Macy losing yet another loved one so he ended up hanging up his greens to be grandpa full time to Dayton and Malory. Dayton always looks out for his little sissy and when she is old enough he is going to share as much as possible about his daddy and one day explain to her why he hasn't come home. The Army or any Military branch for that reason is hard to completely change your life. However, the families that can live their life everyday knowing their wife or husband could leave that house to never return again, and for the families that have kids like Blaine and Macy to have to sit them down and explain what happened and where they are now is also hard.
