“More pink mommy. Please.”
Your beautiful four-year old, Marie, demands nicely while focusing on her creation. Smiling, you carefully make more pink hearts with glitter on her drawing, mentally giggling at her determination on finishing it.
It’s currently 10:00 PM , and although she tends to be sleeping at this hour, you decided to let her stay awake a bit more since she insisted on it. And everything is because she wants to surprise her Daddy, AKA your husband, Ari.
Now for being four-years old she is very confident and determinated on getting something done (wanting too). She got that from your lover, ha. But also like him, when it comes to special people that she loves, she stops the world to give them everything.
And Ari Levinson can be the most exigent and cold CEO when it comes to work, but all that fades when he steps inside his house. His home. He is not only the best, most-caring lover that you are grateful to call husband (and grateful to everyday wake up in his arms), but the best Dad for Marie.
“Dis’ for daddy!” She proudly exclaims, showing you the drawing, which consists of small pink glitter hearts that fill the piece of paper and a big pink hand painted heart that has inside two small drawings. One is Ari, the other is her. How cute.
“Aww baby, it’s beautiful! Daddy will love it” You encourage her as you take a pen a write on the paper a phrase that she asked you to write. But truth is, your husband will indeed love it. Both have a small album filled with nothing more than the drawings and painting your daughter made for you and him.
Marie jumps excited, clapping her hands together, “yay!” She picks the drawing and writes her name on it too. Her handwriting a bit messy, since she is still learning.
“What’s all this noise?” A masculine voice interrupts the short celebration.
“Daddy, no!” Your little girl exclaims running to prevent of your husband coming inside the room. Ari is standing in the doorway with his arms crossed, smiling.
“Close your eyes Daddy!” Marie says
“Okay! Okay! They are closed.” Ari says lowering to his daughters height, so she can see that her daddy is not liying.
She turns to you and smiles to which you nod. She takes the drawing and save it under her pillow. You make a mental note to take it out of there and place it on her pink nightstand, or else tomorrow morning the bed will be filled with pink glitter.
“You open now!” She approaches Ari, who opens his eyes and picks Marie up, tickling her with his beard.
“Daddy no! Tickles! Daddy!” She laughs and giggles. Ari smiles and stops, kissing her forehead gently. Marie lays her head on Ari’s chest as you approach.
“Ready to go to sleep baby?” You ask her while moving strands of her hair out of her face. Marie nods.
--
What was all that noise about? What were you two doing huh?” Your husband asks curious as he lays in bed. Cuddling you from behind, sweetly kissing your neck. Marie fell asleep easily and after you and Ari’s nighttime routine (And after putting your daughter’s drawing on her nightstand) you two finally managed to get inside the bed.
You giggle, “Something that Marie wanted to do for you. But you will have to wait for tomorrow”
Ari shakes his head. “That girl, she’s sassy”
“She got that from you. Told you” You tease him.
He raises his eyebrows, “I’m not–”
But you quickly turn around, facing him and stops him from finishing.
He laughs. “Okay, yeah, you are right.”
You smile victoriously and kiss him briefly on the lips. Snuggling your head on his chest.
“Goodnight handsome” You close your eyes
“Goodnight sweetheart” He kisses the top of your head.
Both drift to sleep.
--
The sunlight makes presence on your room. You hear the door opening, small steps making presence. You open your eyes and see Marie, about to wake you up. You smile at her, she has Ari’s gift in hand. You nod and pick her up, placing her in the middle, between you and Ari. At the feeling of movement, Ari slowly opens his eyes and smiles when he sees his daughter.
“Morning babygirl. What are you doing here?” He moves up, enough to have a better view at his daughter.
Marie smiles and hands him the gift. “Happy Vaeentine’s Day, Daddy!” She exclaims and kiss his cheek. Ari blushes and hugs her. Seeing the drawing.
“Will you be my vaeentine’s?” She asks him.
Ari takes a moment to look at the drawing and smiles. It’s clearly that you were the one who wrote that prase on the drawing, but the fact that her daughter made it for him, melt his heart. He couldn’t have asked for a better family than Marie and you.
You know he won’t stop smiling for a couple of months. You mentally chuckle at that.
Your husbands looka t you, then back to his little girl and nods, placing the drawing on his bedside table to pick her little girl and tickle her with kisses.
“Daddy!”
“Yes babygirl, I will be your valentine today. Today and always. Daddy loves you.”
Soon, the room is filled with giggles, tickles and love. Lots of love.
