After I wake up and do my normal routine, I head into the kitchen expecting to see Lucy, but she is nowhere to be found. Hmm..I bet she finally had a one-night stand! Bout time.
I grab a mug from the cabinet and make myself a cup of coffee. I'm pretty sure my body runs on coffee at this point. After my coffee is done brewing I take my cup and sit down on the couch, and text Lucy.
Hot Shot Cop
Lucy!! Where are you?? I wake up and you're gone?
About that...I'm sorry. I'll tell you at work.
Ugh, fine. But you better have a good explanation.
Lucy liked your message
After I texted Lucy, I opened Instagram and just scrolled for like ten minutes. As you can see, I'm having a very productive morning. "Holy shit," I say under my breath as I looked at my phone seeing the time. I chug the rest of my coffee and run over into the kitchen. I 'gently' place my mug into the sink and then bolt into my room and grab my bag. After I know I have everything, I exit the apartment and speed walk to the parking garage. I go to my motorcycle and quickly get it started.
After a quick ten minutes, I was already at the station. Man, having a motorcycle really did pay off. Drive safe though. I quickly walk into the station and go to the women's locker room. As I'm walking over to my locker, I finally see Lucy changing into her uniform.
"Girl, you got some explaining to do," I say while putting my bag down on the bench. I start to get dressed.
"I know, I know...I just can't tell you...at least not yet," she tells me. Omg.
"What? Why not?" I say with a confused tone while putting on my belt.
"Just...just wait, okay? I promise I'll tell you later," she says. "C'mon let's go to roll call."
"Alright, I'm coming," I say in defeat.
Me and Lucy both take our seats at the table and right after John and Jackson both sit down next to us. Perfect timing right? We all wait for Grey to start, I quickly look back at the T.O. table and see Tim. I give a small smile and he nods his head. Sibling telepathy is a creepy thing I swear. I look back straight again when I see Grey walk up to the podium.
"So, all right, all right. Settle down. I just hit a disturbing video. Never seen anything so horrific. So prepare yourselves." he says and starts the video that is displayed on the TV. I shift in my seat, I'm a little concerned about what he's gonna show us, I mean it could be anything. As the video starts I can start to realize what's going on. It's John's body cam footage from yesterday with the unicorn guy. Oh gosh.
"Such grace and athleticism has never before been seen in the LAPD." Grey comments. Everybody in the room laughs, but I stay quiet, I find it rude to laugh at a simple mistake.
"Is that a gazelle wearing the blues? Or a dinosaur from a long-forgotten age? Now you will see Officer Bradford execute a perfect flying tackle." He says. Hey, at least I did something right...a second later everyone starts clapping their hands. I give Lucy a fist bump, boo-ya.
"All right, fun's over. This is a BOLO for Mr. Lance Selby, who violated his parole yesterday. Scale from 1 to 10, this guy's a 12. Did a nickel for attempted murder with a claw hammer. So whoever gets him off the street will get a sincere handshake and...Super Bowl Sunday off. That's it. Be safe out there."
I get up out of my chair and make my way to get our gear for the day. While walking over there though I bump into Tim.
"Oh-sorry Tim, my bad," I say quickly apologizing.
