Arjun's Pov:
What the fuck was that?
Arjun Singh Shekhawat does not feel flustered ever.
A strange warmth crept up my cheeks, and I tapped them lightly with my fingertips, willing the sensation away. What was this feeling?
Enemies, I reminded myself, trying to shake off the lingering emotions away. Enemies, I repeated the word again and again in my mind. What was that stupid girl doing to me? I had never felt such an emotion ever before. Sure ,women got charmed with me around but what I felt today was something different -a different kind of anticipation.
As I walked out of the lecture hall, I couldn't help but recognize it as a momentary slip in my composed demeanor. The movie "Jab We Met" wasn't terrible, I had to admit. My mom loved it, and anything that excited her could never be terrible in my eyes.
Two hours crawled by and as I stood in front of the auditorium, a mask of indifference covered my features. All I wanted was to get this sham of an act over with. The faster I worked, the better it would be for my sanity.
As I strode into the room, the laughter and chatter of the students faded, replaced by an anticipatory silence. My gaze swept across the room, halting at the familiar figure of Rohit. With his back to me, he was engrossed in conversation with a few students, talking and laughing alongside them.
With an internal roll of my eyes, I called him out, my voice firm , "Rohit! Hurry up ,it's time. "
When he turned around to face me, a smirk stretched on his lips. Approaching me, he grinned from ear to ear and nodded, "Yes bro. "
When I looked at the eager gazes of the swarm of students, looking at us in anticipation, I felt irritation creeping up my spine, enveloping every fibre of my being. I hated humans. Except for a few, of course.
"Good morning, students!" I said, my voice crisp and authoritative. A chorus of "Good morning, Sir!" filled the room and I felt my jaw tighten.
I swept my gaze over the students again ,taking in the unfamiliar and a few familiar faces. "As you know, Rohit Sir and I are your choreographers. We need to conduct a short audition so that only the worthy get a place."
Groans rippled through the crowd. Did I care? Absolutely not.
"I give you two days to prepare," I continued, my tone leaving no room for argument. If they thought that I would let them play with my sanity with no talent at all then they were in for a shock. "Work hard and try to grab what you deserve. You are dismissed." I stated, unimpressed at the eye rolls I received especially from a certain someone. I didn't have any energy left to spend it on her stupid self. Therefore, I decided to leave the place at once.
As I turned to leave, I felt a light touch on my shoulder. I froze, glancing back to see the girl from the cafeteria. Her eyes were wide, questioning. My gaze dropped to her hand, still resting on my shoulder. I glared at it, motioning for her to take it off. I hated physical touches to the core.
"Sorry, Sir!" she squeaked, snatching her hand away. Better.
"Sir, actually... I wanted to ask you th...that which style should we prepare for the au...auditions..." she stammered, her words tumbling out in a rush.
I felt my eyebrows knit together. "Anything," I said flatly. "Whatever you are good at."
Was that something to ask? Wasn't that already understood?
The girl nodded frantically, her face pale. "O...ok! Sir, I will take my leave then," she mumbled, before practically sprinting away.
I watched her go, shaking my head slightly. Kids these days are too weak to handle situations.
