Arjun's Pov:
The room was quiet except for my pen moving across paper, as I penned down the important points from the files that laid open infront of me.
The person behind all this is really very smart. They very cleaverly picked out their victims who were either the illiterate or financially weak. He very well knew that those people would not be able to go through with the court processes and there were very low chances of them even knowing that something was wrong with them. All the victims were of age between 20-35. And it freaking has an order. The first victim- Amar Kumar, age 22.
The second one - Zahir Rehman, age 33 .
The third- Chitrangan Sahu, age 25.
The fourth- Vishal Harijan, age 30
The fifth - Gauri, age 26
The sixth - Tanishk, age 29.And the most important thing? Three of these six people have been operated in BSMCH. And there is something very intriguing in the reports of these three people- Gauri, Tanishk and Zahir. R.D.
How the hell did I miss this?
Because this is what that had been discovered from that fucking painting. Turns out, even the reports we were provided with was manipulated very cleverly.
Also, there is something very interesting in these new reports .At the end of the reports of these three victims, there is this abbreviation R.D, very carefully engraved.
I stood up from the chair , its legs scrapping the marble floor, and walked to the big whiteboard on the wall. I took a marker, bit off the cap, and circled the name of the lab in bright red.
I stepped back to look at the board. That encircled name was now our most important clue in this case. I started thinking about what to do next. It was time to visit this place without warning, to see what secrets we might find there.

"Yes! I visited the Kanheri Caves. I must say, it's really a great place to visit. I just couldn't take my eyes off the intricate carvings and sculptures."
I couldn't believe my ears as Akshit excitedly described his visit to the Kanheri Caves to Avani and others. Avani's eyes shone with innocent curiosity, and she completely ignored my presence.
"Isn't Sanjay Gandhi National Park rumored to be haunted?" Surbhi asked, hanging on Akshit's every word. "Did you encounter any spirits there?"
Akshit nodded, taking a sip of his Oreo shake. I felt a pang of disgust - who orders a kid's drink?
"It is," he said with a wink that made the girls giggle. "But you know, I ain't afraid of little homeless ghosts."
This bastard! I clenched my fists, my glare boring into him. How dare he flirt with the girls right in front of me?
Beside me, Rohit chuckled, smirking as he toyed with a half-eaten gulab jamun. "Charming, isn't he?" he said cheekily.
"Charming, my foot!" I muttered loud enough for them to hear. Four pairs of curious eyes snapped towards us, one of which I would love to claw out.
"His foot came under mine," I rolled my eyes at Rohit's lame attempt to diffuse the tension. The others seemed to buy it, returning to their chatter.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. I never should have come here. The moment I got Surbhi's text, I should have stayed back and sent Rohit instead.
"You're so lucky," Avani sighed wistfully. "I wish I could visit too."
My eyes softened at her dejected tone until Akshit reached out and placed his hand on her delicate shoulder. That was the final straw. My eyes narrowed, jaw clenching as I surged forward, ready to grab his hand and yank it off her.
