Waking up she didn't feel at all unwell. It honestly felt like she never had been ill in the first place but Deseret couldn't wrap her mind around how that could be so. She had just said goodbye to her family and her life. Tears formed at the corner of her eyes, she was all alone once again, but she quickly wiped them away and got up.

She appeared to be in a beautiful field of spring and summer flowers. Mountains surrounded the field with their perfectly snow capped peaks. The air around her was just the perfect temperature and the noises that surrounded her were that of bees and trees rustling in the wind. She stared in awe at the beauty around her.

"Where am I?-" she was then cut off by a blur of color passing in front of her face. Whatever it was it had startled her enough to have fallen backwards. The blur of color noticing it startled her flew back to her and hovered about a foot from her face.

She recognized her friendly hummingbird companion. Then while sitting up Deseret stuck her hand out to the bird so she could hold it once again. The bird sat comfortably in her small hands and gave her a look like it had been waiting ages for her to get there.

"Well maybe it isn't too bad here. But where even is here?" She babbled to herself looking around at the scenery. The hummingbird noticed her concern then took off before coming back with a stick so they could play the same old game they had always loved when they were alive. Noticing what the bird was doing Deseret stood up and dusted herself off quickly.

The hummingbird flew high into the air before dropping the stick. As it let go the young child ran after it as it moved in the breeze. She managed to catch it before hitting the ground and the hummingbird flew down and made itself comfortable in her hair.

Then suddenly out of nowhere Deseret collapsed to her knees grabbing at her head as it felt like she had just been stabbed in the head. The world around her went dark. The flowers around her wilted and the perfect breeze turned cold. A snow storm had made everything so chaotic and then nothing. She felt her body lurch up to a sitting position as she gasped for air.

The room around her was the same one she had died in. Her eyes darted to the door before she got up and ran to it. It took some strength but she got it open. While she got used to the outside light she could hear as something fell to the floor.

"Sister?" Brigham looked at her with fear after whatever he had in his hands fell to the ground breaking across the floor. He had watched her die but now here she was walking looking like nothing had ever happened.

"Now before you start to scream-" she was then promptly cut off by Brigham screaming loudly. She covered her ears due to how awful it sounded and she also was sure everyone nearby could hear it.

"DAD!" Brigham may be significantly older than her but this would freak just about anyone out. Suddenly they both could hear footsteps running towards them. Knowing this could get messy, Deseret mentally prepared herself for what would happen next by going back into the room, closing the door, and hiding under the bed.

After listening to a scared Brigham half crying, half panicking mutter for a while the door swung open causing Deseret to jump hitting herself on the bed a bit.

"Hello?" Mr.Young half growled. Honestly she didn't know what to do. She didn't even know how she was alive ,"show yourself" he hissed.

Deseret just started to cry. Mr.Young, completely taken aback, just walked over confused and looked at her. She shuffled further to the corner out of reach of him but she heavily misjudged how far he could reach.

"Don't hurt me. I don't even know why I'm back here!" She cried louder. He just simply put her on the bed, pulled up a wooden chair, and looked at her with utter confusion. After staring at her ,as she cried, for what felt like forever he sighed in a way that no one could tell what he was even thinking.

"I'm not going to hurt you my child. I'm honestly just as confused as you are" he paused as he turned to Brigham to make him come sit next to him before slightly laughing,"and I'm sure you scared your brother to near death."

"Is whatever she is immortal?" Now that confused her. None of her siblings knew of her non-human roots. Or at least they weren't supposed to know so that she could live normally.

"Excuse me? Where did you hear that?"

"Well you left your notebook out after she died and I read it thinking it was a momento to her and I guess it wasn't." The two men stared at each other before Deseret broke the silence.

"Immortal." She repeated ,"I can't be immortal can I? If I'm immortal that would mean." She couldn't finish her sentence as she started to sob at the thought of losing another family.

"Well it's either that or she's a witch!" Brigham hissed before Mr.Young slapped him over the head.

"Let's not scare your sister."

"My sister? She's not even human!" He whisper-yelled at his father angrily ,"why did you even keep her around and have us love and adore her?"

"She was all alone. Joseph Smith had died so I took in the daughter that no one claimed." The fight begun to escalate then Deseret ran out. She had always hated fights or arguments. She didn't even know where she was running to when diddly she slammed right into another family member of hers.

"Elizabeth please don't-" she flinched but instead of being hit she was simply lifted up.

"I knew that notebook wasn't wrong. They may have denied it but I knew the truth." Elizabeth then pulled her sister in for a hug. She didn't care that Deseret wasn't human, that was her sister, her family, and she'd create the perfect lie to hide the truth of what actually happened to protect that family.

"Ok so odd question but what notebook are you all talking about?"
