It all started during the Battle of the Fang of M32, It was one of the most brutal wars in the history of the SpaceWolves. During this time, the SpaceWolves were trying to establish a Successor Chapter known as the WolfBrothers, in which was unfortunately ill-fated, but that's a story for another time . Thar Harldir was famous among the SpaceWolves and known for his research, in which was so close to finally riding them of their Wulfen Curse, However, the project was halted by Magnus the Red, and countless lives were lost on both sides of the war during the Battle of the Fang.

None other then Thar Hraldir, the famous Wolf Priest, was found amidst the rubble and ruins days later by a lone scavenger after the dust settled. He was clinging to life and barely breathing. With Thar himself and just enough text and data to salvage the project that was thought to be lost, Thar was able to start anew after his recovery.

What was once a Chapter that numbered in the hundreds was now reduced to a mere 22 men who were struggling to survive, and on the brink of extinction. This marked the darkest moment in history for the SpaceWolves.

Thar Hraldir was presumed dead, killed in combat during the battle, however he was nursed back to health by an unknown Tech-Priest. The Tech-Priest helped Thar in his research to adapt and better the SpaceWolves' gene-seed and to hopefully finally rid them of the Wulfen curse. Thar had succeeded in creating the first Successful Successor marine that was cured of their Wulfen Curse or so he thought. This new Successor Chapter was later to be named as the PlagueWolves, and the first marine was to be named Fornir.

Fornir, unfortunately, underwent a strange mutation whilst he was doing a version of the Trails, a right of passage each SpaceWolf must do to prove their worth. These Trials were set forth by Thar Harldir himself. Fornir's strange mutation made his face look like that of a Fenrisian Wolf but decaying and diseased. It came on fast and was excruciatingly painful to Fornir. Thar asked, begged even, for the Tech-Priest to help in fixing Fornir's appearance, Thar couldn't bare with yet another failure. "This one has to work, It must work! I cannot and will not fail again!" He cried, and in the end the Tech Priest ended up making Fornir look more mechanical than human.

Fornir screamed and shook violently in pain during the procedure to attempt to alter his appearance. The Tech Priest held no sympathy and did not stop for even a second. Thar realized in this moment he made a grave mistake that his search for a better life and cure of the Wulfen Curse had twisted his mind, heart and soul even towards madness, but with this realization he was still unwilling to pass the opportunity to found a better future for his brothers and kin The Vlka Fenryka.

Thar's realization and madness further deepened. The understanding that would need more soldiers to help his brothers in the SpaceWolves to grow in numbers after the heavy loses they took during the Battle of the Fang. He wanted to return to his brothers with a small invasion force or even a simple strike team to show them that they could bounce back from their recent defeat.

Thar and his Tech-Priest continued to work towards altering the gene-seed code to adjust for the horrific mutations that underwent Fornir's transformation after his Trials. However, countless failures lay in Thar's path further pushing his mind and morals into a twisted horrific way, blinding him with greed.

One day, Thar was discussing his project with his new additions to his Successor Chapter attempt. Fornir now known as Fornir Iron-Jaw, along with the second to have survived the Trails and Gene-Seed treatments was Torstein his body was effected much like Fornirs, but for Torstein his right arm was heavily mutated and twisted by the Wulfen Curse.

Next on our list is Ivar his horrific mutation crippled one of his legs making it inoperable and after the Tech Priests assistance the made a iron like cage around his leg to support his weight. With every step he took pain immediately followed. Ivar from day one was Labelled as Ivar the Boneless, for it seemed as though his legs bone structure was either absent or so weak with each step it would snap and break.
