"They say, sad people don't smile, what if they are the ones that can't stop laughing?"
Rose Capaldi woke up in something fluffy. Which was enough to let her know she was at a house, but not hers.
The mattresses at her house were relatively hard.
"Keeps your back stiff as a board," as Kevin states.
All the events from the previous night flashed vividly before her eyes.
Rain, blood, helmets, warmth.
She felt a tingle in her throat, and her nose was stuffy. So apparently, the rain had done its magic all right.
Then she panicked.
Phone.
"Oh no no no..." she muttered, rushing out of the room.
"Stop panicking will ya?!" Said Leo in a black helmet of a neon green design.
He had a spatula in one hand and an apron around his waist.
"Seriously? Do you ever take that thing off?" asked Rose looking miserably at Leo who was wearing a helmet while making eggs.
"I" he said pointing to himself, "had orders from Red."
"That's his name?" she asked, confused.
"Let's say I had more orders, not to reveal the names." said Leo flipping the egg.
"Have you seen my-" Rose was interrupted immidiately.
"There." he said pointing at a bowl. Her phone was resting peacefully in the grains of rice. "Would make an excellent dinner," he snickered.
Rose folded her arms and glared at him. His face fell.
"Where are Red and Blue?" she inquired.
"Oh they went for a ride, would join them after i get this over with."
"Lunch." she said, checking the time.
"Yeah yeah." he nodded wearily, proceeding to turn off the toaster switch.
"Ow!" he exclamimed, shaking his hand. "If only my hands weren't wet!" he sounded disappointed.
Stimulus.
She quickly took out the red diary and opened the page with the word stimulus.
If we get an electric shock because the hands are wet then, she thought writing,
Electric shock
Stimulus: waterThen she wrote,
Flashbacks
Stimulus: ?She made a question mark next to it.
Leo who had assembled the toast and egg into a sandwich was now holding a knife in his hand.
"Square or triangle?" he asked.
Rose looked up, "Squares would be nice." she said thoughtfully.
"Squares it is then!" his exclaim followed by an "Ow!" He held up his index finger that was bleeding crimson.
"Leo! Are you alright?" she dropped the diary and held his bleeding finger.
Belt, stinging pain, brown shoes, escaping at night.
There were those snippets again.
Leo's tragedy. She felt instantly sad.
"Earth to Rose" he said, snapping his fingers to break her trance.
