"They say your hate for someone is just an opinion, but what if there's more to it than percepetion?"
The Sun shone brightly as Rose looked at her reflection in the mirror. She adjusted her black tie and smoothed the creases on her white button down shirt. She wore a black skirt and long black boots.
Yes, it was her highschool uniform.
Apparently, the helmets had already made adjustments so she had no issues staying over.
Since she arrived at the helmet hideout, more like kidnapped on Sunday, it was Monday morning which meant the start of her final year at highschool. All in all, it was a relief as she needed a break and wasn't planning to go back anytime soon. She even kept her phone switched off to keep her mind off things.
"Don't you guys have school?" said Rose as she stepped out of the "grey" room which she slept in, that led to Red sleeping in the TV lounge.
"School?" Leo huffed in a mocking manner. "We're not kids" he stated as he ate a sandwich with ketchup smiley.
Rose mentally facepalmed herself.
You don't say?Owing to the loud snores coming from the third bedroom, she came to know that Blue was asleep.
And then there was Red, who stopped flipping through TV channels the moment she entered the TV lounge. Holding the remote, he burned holes in her back. She tried her best to avoid his gaze. Which didn't last long.
"We're dropouts" he said, eyes fixated on her.
"Huh?" Rose blurted out.
"We're college dropouts." said Red in his coarse voice that had a hint of boyhood to it.
Rose always melted at his voice, it was the ideal voice for a guy, or maybe it was just the helmet, that muffled his voice to make it more sexy.
She met his gaze. Finally, his helmet's visor was up. He had vibrant green eyes with thick long eyelashes.
But why? Guessing from their lifestyle, any financial issue is out of question. She
thought looking around her at the lavish furnishing and expensive TV."Well you see studying is not our thing." said Red as if he read her mind.
His gaze was so intense that she couldn't hold it any longer.Rose turned her back to him and faced Leo, who was now gulping down one of his signature soda cans.
"Where's Bruno?" she inquired, her brows furrowed.
"Ash took him this morning. Kiddo was pretty reluctant." said Leo avoiding her gaze.
"Huh" Red said in a mocking manner.
What an odd guy, thought Rose.
She looked at her wristwatch and panicked. It was pretty late, especially for her first day.
"Oh no no no n-" Rose was blabbering when she was cut off by Red's hand covering her mouth.
She froze as her breath caught im her throat.
"Wanna be my backpack?" he breathed in her ear from behind. She hadn't realized when he managed to get so close.
The memories from the night of their first encouter flashed across her mind. The feel of his abs against her palms, his warmth against her cold skin. Her gloved palms got sweaty and she got goosebumps all over her body.
"Hey now, don't mess with the kid. She's got school you know." said Leo, laughing hard.
"Well for a kid, she has a lot of white hair." said Red, curling a white strand around his index finger and inhaling her flowery scent.
