Lunette sat by the small pond near her cabin, the last and most secluded one in the camp. The full moon hung high in the sky, its silvery light making the water shimmer like liquid stardust. The quiet night was interrupted by a sudden, clumsy landing—a baby owl crash-landed beside her, flapping its wings wildly to regain balance. She barely suppressed a snicker.

"Grover and a boy are fighting a Minotaur! Help—Grover's injured!" the owl hooted urgently. To most, it would have sounded like nothing but frantic chirping, but Lunette understood every word.

Her heart pounded. She knew she wouldn't make it in time if she ran across camp. Instead, she stepped out from beneath the tree's shade, letting the moonlight fully bathe her. In an instant, she disappeared, traveling with the beams of the moon, reappearing right beside Thalia's tree.

The battle had just ended. A blonde-haired boy collapsed onto the ground, his sword still clutched weakly in his hand, the Minotaur's body dissolving into golden dust behind him. He was barely conscious, exhaustion and pain written all over his face.

Lunette rushed to his side, kneeling beside him. "Hey! Stay with me! Keep your eyes open!" she urged, pressing her hands over his wounds.

His bleary sea-green eyes met hers. "Am I... am I going to heaven?" he murmured weakly.

Lunette let out a breathy chuckle as she called upon the moonlight to heal him, its soft glow wrapping around his injuries. "You're gonna live, pretty boy. I can assure you that." A small smile tugged at her lips as his eyes fluttered shut. He had passed out, but his breathing was steady.

She turned her attention to Grover, who was slumped nearby, looking worse for wear. With a sigh, she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, letting the soothing power of the moon's light mend his wounds.

"Grovey," she huffed. "You should have told me you were bringing someone. This whole mess could have been avoided."

Grover winced, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know, I know—I was in a hurry. It totally slipped my mind."

"All healed up?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Grover stretched his arms, testing his strength, then grinned. "Perfectly."

Author's Note:

I haven't mentioned Lunette's cabin number to avoid potential confusion later in the story. Also, the characters are aged up to 14 since I'm more comfortable writing older characters.
