(Elizabeth's Pov) *THE NEXT DAY*
I fluttered my eyes to the sun shining through my tent. I sighed and groaned as I turned the other way wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep. I yawned tiredly and sighed as I felt Rai sleeping right next to me. I chuckled a bit and wrapped my arm around him before lying my head on his body. I listened to his deep and peaceful breathing and steady heartbeat which could almost put me back to sleep.
I heard the sounds of Pidgey's and Spearow's flying around the area. I took a deep breath in content before looking at my phone to see it was a little after 8am. I scoffed and rolled my eyes before finally sitting up. I stretched my stiff and sore muscles and yawned once more before looking over at Rai who was sleeping peacefully.
I smiled softly and pet his soft fur, he let out a small sigh in content which I knew was going to be ruined the moment I wake him up but I knew I had to so we can head out to Vermilion City where I can get my 3rd badge. I sighed a bit and gently shook Rai who started to growl a bit "Yes, I know, I don't wanna get up either but we gotta start heading out to Vermillion City today so I can get my 3rd badge. Are you ready for this?" I asked him,
He looked back at me and huffed a bit with frustration before slowly sitting up himself. I giggled a bit "Well good morning sleepy head" I teased, he growled and yawned as I unzipped my tent letting him out to go stretch his legs because he was such a big pokemon who was crammed into a small tent with me at night. Sure as hell makes a heater when it's freezing out so good for me I guess haha.
Rai barked and yawned tiredly and stretched his legs. I giggled as I crawled out of my tent and did the same. I heard the other's slowly start to wake by them unzipping their tents as well. They all crawled out before stretching and doing what they did to wake themselves up in the morning, "Good morning Elizabeth" Misty greeted,
I smiled tiredly and waved "Good morning everyone. Are we all ready to head to Vermilion City today?" Brock asked, Ash shouted which made me sweatdrop a bit "OH YEA, We're ready right Pikachu! 3rd badge here I come!" He shouted with excitement, me and Rai groaned and glared at Ash who laughed nervously before hiding behind Misty who scoffed and rolled her eyes a bit "I see you both aren't awake yet?" Brock stated,
We glared at him "Are we ever?" I asked, everyone laughed "Well we can at least have coffee and breakfast before we head out" Brock said which made mine and Rai's stomach growl. Brock chuckled a bit as him and Misty set up everything they needed for breakfast while me and Ash began to clean up camp for the day.
Once breakfast and coffee was ready, we all sent out our pokemon and fed them before sitting down at the bench and getting some food ourselves. We grabbed what we wanted and began to dig right in Brock's delicious food, "Are you both excited to battle the Vermilion City Gym today?" Misty asked, me and Ash looked at each other and smirked a bit "You bet" We said, her and Brock laughed a bit "I'm sure you both will do great" Brock said, we smiled "Thank you" we said, "What should we do in the meantime?" Misty asked,
