Foxy, Bonni, Chica and Freddy stood before us. They were blocking our only escape. Going back down was not an option either.
“Shit, what do we do?” Charlie whispered.
I looked at the animatronics. They weren't attacking, but they weren't going to budge either. Behind them, I could see the Puppet. He didn't seem to be affected. It looked like he was trying to think of something to do as well.
“Just wait for my signal,” I whispered to Charlie.
The puppet was setting something up that I couldn't get a good view of. Whatever it was, it was taking him a while.
A lot went through my mind. I wasn't sure what to do. We found out who the killer was, but what now? William would hunt us down if we ran. We had to finish this tonight.
The puppet suddenly let out an ear ringing shriek. The animatronics sparked and turned to him. They immediately ran to him, but tripped. The sound of four tons of metal falling on the ground rang out, shaking the ground. They flailed and squirmed.
“Follow me!” Puppet shouted.
Charlie and I followed him. He led us to the office. He shut both of the doors and faced us. “Ok, we're safe for now.”
I helped Charlie to sit in the office chair. She clutched her stomach, which hadn't stopped bleeding.
“She's bleeding out,” I said. “Is there a first aid station anywhere?”
Puppet shook his head. “Not without going back out there.”
I looked at the window to the office and saw Bonnie looking in. She started smacking the window.
“Shit shit shit!” I yelled. “What the fuck are we supposed to do?!”
“I don't know,” Puppet replied. “I just needed to get you two to safety. I didn't really have a plan beyond this.”
“It's ok Mike,” Charlie said. “It doesn't hurt as much anymore.”
I looked at her. Oddly enough, she wasn't going pale or anything. In fact, I was in the workshop for a while. She should have been dead.
“Are you sure?” I asked. “You're bleeding a lot, and it's been a while.”
“Yeah, I just feel kind of tired,” she answered.
I took off my sweatshirt and kneeled by her. “Move your hands, I'm going to tie this around your wound to stop the bleeding.”
She nodded and moved her hands. That's when I saw something weird. No, weird was an understatement. “What's this?” I asked.
I leaned closer. In her wound, there was an opening, and not one created by the knife. Something was sticking out that looked like a plastic hand. Like that of a doll.
“Charlie…there's something in your wound,” I stated.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“I'm scared to mess with it,” I replied. “But it looked like there's a doll in your torso.”
Charlie's eyes went wide. “How is that possible?”
“Let's ignore it for now,” I stated. “I'm going to cover the wound.”
I tied the sweatshirt over the wound, tightly. Blood seeped through the fabric, but at the very least, this would stop the bleeding.
“That should help,” I stated.
She nodded and remained sitting in her chair. I stood and looked around. Bonnie continued to smack the window. On the other window, Chica was smacking her hand against it. I could hear Foxy and Freddy hitting the metal doors.
Hope seemed lost. We had only moved from one hell to another.
At that moment, I remembered the Golden Freddy doll. When I took my sweatshirt off, it had dropped to the ground. I reached down and picked it up. Blood had gotten smeared on it after falling into Charlie's blood.
“Cassidy,” I murmured.
At that moment, the power turned off. The doors opened.
The animatronic’s red eyes glowed in the darkness as they encroached on us.
“Shit,” I murmured.
The doll, a voice said in my head. Was it Cassidy? Was she telling me something?
Show them the doll, she commanded.
I lifted the Golden Freddy doll and held it to Chica and Freddy first. For whatever reason, it stopped them in their tracks.
I quickly turned and showed it to Bonnie and Foxy. They too stopped. All four had stopped, still staring, but no longer attempting to attack us.
“What did you do?” Puppet asked.
“I'll explain when we're out of here,” I said as I grabbed Charlie and pulled her along, past the animatronics. Puppet followed as we ran to the front door of the restaurant.
As we exited the office, we were ambushed by Elizabeth, now appearing in her bulky animatronic form. Behind her were the white versions of Freddy and Foxy, as well as the fourth Ballerina animatronic.
“Stop right there,” Elizabeth ordered. “You three aren't going anywhere.”
They surrounded us. As they did, the other four animatronics started moving inward towards us. However, it appeared the red eyes had disappeared. Were they in control again? Or were they still under William's control?
“You've been a thorn in our side all night,” Elizabeth growled.
William stepped out of the darkness, still donning his Yellow Rabbit outfit. “Elizabeth, remember, don't kill them.”
Elizabeth growled angrily. “You did your stupid test! Let me kill the bugger!”
“Language, Elizabeth,” William said, in a fatherly tone.
She huffed. “Sorry.”
“Now, you and the funtimes take Mike and his two friends to the workshop,” he commanded. “I never expected one of the animatronics to be able to resist my influence.”
Elizabeth and her animatronics reached for us, apprehending each of us. Funtime Freddy grabbed Charlie and opened his stomach hatch. He almost delicately put her inside, forcing her to curl up inside. Funtime Foxy and the Ballerina grabbed Puppet, each holding one of his arms. Elizabeth approached me and grabbed me. “I may not be able to kill you yet, but I'll enjoy it when the time comes.”
William looked at the other four animatronics. “Your four, return to the stage. You're fine for tonight.”
They didn't move. They all just held their gaze on William.
“Are you deaf?” He yelled. “Get back on the fucking stage!”
Freddy stepped forward. He gripped the microphone in his hand. “Not this time Afton.”
Chica, Bonnie and Foxy joined Freddy in defiance against William. “Cassidy has freed us of your control.”
