"What the fuck was this text, Farleigh?"

"Hush! You're going to wake him up..."

"Look, are you sure you saw Ollie with her?"

Silence filled the room for a moment, but before Farleigh could answer his dear cousin, Ronan lifted his head from the pillow, annoyed by how loud they were. "I saw it... after I talked to you, Lix. Now will you two stop gossiping like a bunch of bitches?" he sat up, making the cousins look at him, relieved that he seemed better than last night, but once they looked at each other, they only nodded.

"Believe me now?" Farleigh grinned at his victory against Oliver, but Felix shook his head in annoyance.

"Yeah... I'll see you two at breakfast..." He stumbled away, sulking at the situation he had come to find out about.

"Gossiping like bitches?" Farleigh looked at Ronan, who was rubbing his eyes.

"Would you prefer I called you to gossiping faggots?" he raised an eyebrow at the curly-haired male, who seemed excited about something as he jumped on him, hugging him tightly.

"I missed you, baby!" Ronan groaned at the fact he was being kissed all over his face.

"Damn it, Farleigh! quit it!" Farleigh giggled before giving Ronan one last peck on the lips, making him blushYouour too happy about stirring shit up."

Farleigh let him go and smiled. "How could I not! Ollie fucked up by eating Venetia out! He got caught, that means he'll be kicked out surely..." Ronan shook his head in annoyance; he thought about last night and their conversation; he was considering taking that break or simply breaking up with him.

"Farleigh... about last night," He couldn't form the words he wanted to say, but it didn't matter.

"Happy early birthday, baby..." Ronan looked at him confused, only to realize it was his birthday. he hated them so much after his 15th he couldn't bear thinking about that year. "I'm sorry about last night. I should have never brought up a fucking break. I mean, I haven't been a good boyfriend to you. I haven't bothered to ask you if you were ok even being here. I know you hate your birthdays, but if you want to, we can leave and go into town and see your friends... anything you want. I'm just sorry, i'm not used to the whole dating thing. I'll be better." Farleigh held his hand, and Ronan squeezed it to reassure him, but he thought the break might be necessary.

"It's ok. I've been a terrible guest, to begin with. I love being with you, but I feel out of place here. Even Oliver is fitting in, and I can tell it's pissing you off. Farleigh, you're starting to hate Oliver more than he loves me. And I have a lot of shit going on with mom and that sorry excuse for a dad... honestly, I think I need to be with my mom to protect her from that psycho... but i'm here..." Ronan sighed, thinking what else he wanted to say. Still, Farleigh knew what he liked to speak; these lovers were no different in many ways.

"Feeling trapped," they were shocked to hear each other say the same thing as once, but they just started to laugh at each other as if nothing mattered again.

"I think we don't need a break... We need to talk better..." Farleigh couldn't smile even harder if he could, but he was relieved they wouldn't separate romantically.

"I like the sound of that... better communication." Ronan kissed his cheek and got up. "Will you join us for breakfast?" Ronan hummed and winked at him.

"Sure fuck it, I kinda miss everyone... pick me up from my room in 20?"

Farleigh chuckled, "Of course, beautiful." He bit his lip as if he was holding something primal back, but Ronan blew a kiss at him before leaving his room and wandering off into the quiet halls of Saltburn.
