Chapter 1

Oberoi Mansion

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Arnaya Happy birthday to you" sang everyone while Arnaya cut the cake. Arnaya took a piece of cake and forwarded it to her father Ronit Oberoi, then to her mother Aastha Oberoi and then she fed cake to everyone. Arnaya turned 21 today. Everyone from Rathor family and Oberoi family are present here.

After having dinner Arnaya was sitting with her cousins. All the five cartoons were sitting in the hall and were arguing over something. Suddenly Arnaya stood up and said " OK enough now, today is my birthday and I am eldest among you all so my decision will be final"

"No di this is wrong" Abhir protested. Arnaya folded her hands near her chest and said " Everything is fair in love, war and when you have to watch a movie ", "No Abir bhai is right you are dominating us" said Navya. "If I said it , I said it no more arguments" said Arnaya in full attitude.

Astha smiled seeing her daughter's behavior and asked " What's going on here?" Everyone turned their heads to see her. Abhir stood up from his seat and went to Astha and said " Mumma see what is she doing?" Astha asked " What?".

This time Arnaya spoke " Mumma all these are not letting me watch the movie of my choice ". "We all barely meet once or twice in a year and look they are arguing in this also " said Sameer.

" Di started all this " said Kartik. Arnaya narrowed her eyes and said " Say this one more time Kartik and I will never help you next time in any of your issues".

" See mumma how is she dominating us, God knows from where does she got this attitude" said Abhir and rolled his eyes.

"She got this exactly from her bde Papa" a voice came. Everyone moved their eyes following the voice and found Ronit. Ronit was standing there from last 10 minutes and was watching all this.

"Mumma tell Papa he will not take Di's side again" said Abhir. By now Karan, Diksha and Isha also came into the hall. Seeing all this Isha asked " What's happening?". Abhir came to Isha and hugged and said " See bhuaa (aunt) Papa is taking Di's side again, he always does this " Isha caressed his back and said to Ronit "this is wrong bhai ".

Ronit again smiled and said " I didn't say him anything ". Abhir broke the hug and said " but he didn't say anything to her also " to which he replied" What should I say to her, she has got this attitude inherited ".

Navya who was sitting silently now decided to speak and said " From whom? As far as I know you and bhua ( Aastha) both of them don't have such kind of attitude which Di carries".

Elders looked at each other and smiled. Juniors looked at them confusingly." Why are you all smiling?" asked Sameer.  Astha came towards Arnaya and said " she got this attitude from her bde papa".

Juniors are still confused and all of them are giving 'we still don't understand anything'  look. Karan noticed everyone's expression and asked Ronit " you haven't told them anything yet ?". "They all don't have time to listen, how can I tell?" Ronit replied.

Arnaya shook her head and asked " please stop all this, I am not getting anything, who is bde Papa? I have heard his name so many times but I still don't know him. Who is he? Where is he? " Arnaya said this in one go.

"Well you all don't have time to sit with us and talk, you all are so busy in your life that we never get a chance to tell you about him" Aastha replied.
