Over the next three days, Nathaniel and Jacqueline made love in every single room of Rutland Park. At least, every room of the upstairs portion of the estate. Between their growing love and bond, and Jacqueline's heat, they couldn't keep their hands or lips off each other.
As each day came and went, Nathaniel was falling more and more in love with Jacqueline. He made sure she was comfortable and pleasured. He gave her all of him, and she gave him all of her.
Jacqueline was experiencing the same feelings. She loved Nathaniel, and was falling harder and harder for him as each day came and went. She gave him all of her, and he gave her all of him.
By the fourth day, Jacqueline's heat had diminished into a dull ache. However, she refused to move from Nathaniel's arms, completely at ease. She felt safe and protected.
Nathaniel was more than happy to keep his beloved against his chest, his arms tight around her and hers locked around him. He was glad she was no longer in pain, but wasn't about to stop making love to her. He felt happy and at peace.
At the moment, they were lying on Nathaniel's bed, naked and basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Their lips came together, and they kissed sweetly before moving their lips down to the marks on their necks. Because they were immortal wolves, their markings were different from that of normal wolves. The markings were comprised of a blue crescent moon with a pair of dark red roses at each end.
Nathaniel. "Do you believe your brother is going to murder me? I have compromised you."
Jacqueline giggled. "I don't believe James is going to do any such thing your grace. Once he sees that the two of us have become bonded, he won't say a word."
Nathaniel smiled and kissed her softly. "You are quite right my love."
Jacqueline snuggled against him. "Speaking of my brother, we are hosting a ball next week at Bradford Park."
Nathaniel smiled, holding her close. "I am very much looking forward to it. I will finally be able to dance with you and only you."
Jacqueline giggled. "I will make sure all of my slots on my dance card have your initials."
Nathaniel. "Wonderful. Now, I wish to make love to you again."
Jacqueline felt her body heat up at those delicious words. "I wish to make love to you again as well."
Their lips crashed against one another, and they became plunged into the scorching act of lovemaking for the remainder of the day.

The following week, Jacqueline was swept up into Nathaniel's arms as they twirled across the ballroom. The entire evening had been the two of them dancing and talking and eating together, exchanging sweet kisses in front of everyone. Neither of them cared if they showed affection, they took pleasure in doing so.
Nathaniel smiled. "You look beautiful this evening my love. Lavender suits you."
Jacqueline smiled, feeling absolutely gorgeous in her lavender silk gown with off the shoulder sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. "Thank you dearest, and you look very handsome. I'm pleased you decided to wear a lavender shirt."
Nathaniel chuckled, running his left thumb across her right gloved knuckles. "I had to match, it wouldn't be fair if I didn't."
Jacqueline giggled as their waltz came to an end. Leaning up on her tiptoes, she brushed her lips against his. "You are magnificent."
Nathaniel smiled and returned her kiss. "You are breathtaking."
Jacqueline smiled, and then turned her attention to James. Her smile brightened as she saw him dancing with a young lady. Her heart swelled with delight as she saw her brother lean close to his partner and kiss her sweetly on the lips.
Nathaniel. "It seems James has found his mate."
Jacqueline. "Indeed he has. Thankfully it's not simply any young lady."
Nathaniel looked at her quizzically. "Do you know her?"
Jacqueline nodded. "I do, her name is Miss Bridget Preston. She's a good friend of mine, we attended boarding school together."
Nathaniel. "Her last name is Preston? Does that mean she is the sister of Lord Samuel Preston?"
Jacqueline nodded. "Yes she is. How do you and Viscount Preston know one another?"
Nathaniel. "We attended Oxford together. He is quite the humble gentleman, and is still searching for his mate."
Jacqueline. "Well, I hope he finds her. No one should be alone."
Nathaniel brushed his lips against hers. "Agreed."
They continued dancing for another hour before Jacqueline politely excused herself to go and get some fresh air. She assured Nathaniel she would be back momentarily before kissing him sweetly on the lips and then disappearing out onto the terrace of Rutland Park. Taking a large gulp of air, she walked over to the railing overlooking the gardens, inhaling the fragrant smell of roses.
The sound of footsteps, followed by the sickly sweet smell of caramel, caught Jacqueline's attention. Turning her head, she and her wolf became anxious as they saw none other than Lord Charles Watson standing several feet away from her. She shook with fear.
Lord Charles Watson, the second son of the Duke of Somerset, stood tall and proud before her. He possessed black hair and dark gray eyes. His muscular body was outlined in a three-piece black silk suit with a white button up shirt cravat and black boots. He smiled wickedly. "Hello Miss Bradford."
