This is a mystery of my clenched heart, Tried to speak from the start, Thoughts piled up in my brain's cart, The filled silence hits my soul like a sharp dart, As time passed by, I came to know that it ain't silence after all, But indeed a beautiful art!
I visit several places when I'm not allowed to speak, Like I'm a caged bird and they tie up my beak, Scars to my mind, there are countless creaks, I want to spit my words out to all the freaks, To tell them I'm stronger than all of you and not weak!
I hear ongoing chatter, I also want to join in because the words have build up in my head like a thick batter, There's so much I want to say and lay in front of everyone’s platter, But when I even try, they bring my spirits down like a banging shatter!
Then there's the strength I got, Discovered from my skull and rib cages’ pot, To not let my thoughts die and rot, To bring myself up and claim my spot!
I'm here to observe, And with the kindness to kill, You think you know it all, but I've already entered your brain like a drill. I see people through their eyes, This is my topmost skill, You are thinking something else and speaking something else so fake, that it makes me ill!
Then I think my silence is better rather than opening up, You keep rubbing your tongue, I'll let my brain scrub, By sitting alone in my tub, And not going to some lame clubs!
I don't have the courage to speak; oh you are judging me honey? I don't want to be like you and put my words unnecessarily like your nose that's runny, You can sit back and laugh at me like it's all funny, Because you take home the talk and I'll take the words; that's my money!
In the midst of thousand people in a hall, They have left their true self at home and arrived here, they stall, I am seeing them using my greatest skill and how true is everyone and how they fall, My silence, it ain't silence after all!
