*Akari's POV*
I can't remember the last time the 'heroes' did something to help people. My father always told me when I was young, "Akari, in this world there are heroes and villains. The heroes here are corrupted and seek to destroy us and even you." he said, I was only ten when I remember the first time they tried to...they tried to... 'Why can't I remember what happened' my thoughts ran through my head at a fast pace. My head felt like it was being torn apart, 'Please stop, please it hurts." I tried to speak trying and failing to wake my body from deep sleep. This went on for many hours when suddenly it happened again that same nightmare, but this time it faded and disappeared from my mind.
The nightmares repeat over and over, becoming more and more twisted and distorted, I suddenly felt a sharp, painful pain pounding in my head. I can feel my eyes started to burn as tears fell from my eyes. My chest began to feel heavy as I gasped for air, it was slowly becoming harder and harder to breathe. Through my panic I heard a voice cut through, "Breathe Akari." My father's voice spoke calmly, but the pain continued. Suddenly my eyes shot opened and I awoke to a blank room with bare furniture and walls, the bed I was laying on was pushed up against the wall in a corner, to the right of my bed was a small table with a folded piece of paper on it. Picking up the paper I unfolded it revealing a small note 'I have to leave for a work trip I will be back soon my dear, stay safe and the doctor will help your pain, just trust him and he will help.'-Dad. 'He always leaves when I need him most, he never tells me where he goes just that the 'heroes' attacked a friend of his.' I thought to myself slowly falling back asleep.
When I finally woke up I was greeted by the Doctor standing at the desk that was added to the room, "Well look who is finally awake, I was beginning to worry." he said turning his head to face me, "What happened to me while I was asleep." I asked, watching as the door opened and a familiar face walked in. "Hey it's you! the guy who was in the basement." she said, "My name is Sharp Shooter I was hired soon after you were injured and put in the capsule thing." he said handing the doctor a tray of sharp needles. My anxiety is starting to spike seeing the numerous needles, he must have noticed my distress and nudged the doctor's arm. "You have nothing to worry Akari those aren't for you. Well two of them are." He said holding two small needles up from the tray, I shuddered feeling a cold chill run up my spine. "What are you gonna do with those." I asked, my voice shaking, the doctor walked over to the table beside my bed and set down two vials of liquids in different colours one completely black like ink and the other was a translucent white, he said nothing as he filled each needle with one of the vials.
"Ever since the accident years ago your quirk has become unstable, and it is destroying your cells the more you use your quirk. But we have a temporary solution, these vials are filled with copies of undamaged cells from your body. Everyday you will get injections of these it will help your cells regenerate and recover." He said grabbing my wrist as I lay down onto the soft pillows and injecting the black liquid into the veins in my arm. I try to divert my attention away from the stabbing pain in my arm, when my vision goes dark and blurry, my body tenses and shakes and vibrates 'What is happening' my thoughts run as my body seizes.
*Third Person POV*
Muffled voices flood Akari's head, "Sharp Shooter quickly grab the clear vial on the desk." Doctor Garaki yells at Sharp Shooter, as he watches as Akari's body shakes and writhes against the mattress. Sharp Shooter runs up beside the doctor handing him the vial, but not using it and instead using the needle with the white liquid and shakes it making it turn red before injecting it into the same arm as before. But the seizures didn't stop, they just continued to worsen by the minute, "Sir shouldn't we-" "Just a little longer." The doctor interrupts. A few minutes pass before the seizing doesn't stop and the doctor relents and gives her another shot from a small needle with clear liquid in it and injecting it into Akari, immediately stopping the seizure.
