I was woken up by the peeping golden rays of the sun through the curtains. With a flash, I sat up on my bed. Of course, it was a dream. Otherwise, why even would a fictional character come alive just like that? For a moment, I felt disappointed getting snapped back to reality.

While walking down the stairs, I couldn't help but think about it. It felt so real. As if he was just another person standing and talking to me normally. His sharp defined features, his icy eyes looking at me, his smirk. Could it even be possible for the Quill to strike out someone's name? If so, why?

"Be careful Charlize, there's water--"

Before Charlotte could even complete her sentence, my foot slipped and I found myself falling down the flight of stairs. There was a sudden rush of adrenaline and shock in my body as I fell until I crashed into the ground accompanied by a loud thump.

"--spilt on the stairs..." I groaned loudly having hurt my head quite badly.

"What was that sound?" Mum entered the scene. "Oh my goodness!"
Mum rushed over to me and wiped some of the dripping liquid from my forehead.
"You're bleeding! Charlotte, bring the first aid box, quickly! Could you be any more careless, Charlize?"

Mum's medical care reminds me of Madam Pomfrey. After all the bandaging, I got up seated myself on the couch and turned on the TV. Thankfully, today was a Saturday so I wouldn't have to show up at school like this.

"Girls! I'm going for some grocery shopping."

"Stop zoning out all the time. You'll die one day like this, you know?" Charlotte plopped down beside me as Mum departed.
"I just had this-- never mind." To which she quirked an eyebrow.

I hesitated for a while about whether or not it would be a good idea to tell her but decided it wouldn't be worth it.

"Ah, my head hurts." I shouldn't have thought about it too much. Knowing this dream was nothing new. I've had plenty before.

"Take a walk outside. It'll soothe you. Plus a cool breeze is blowing too. Go, it'll take your mind off of things." Charlotte advised.

I decided to listen. She was right. Nothing a cool morning stroll won't be able to fix. Just what I needed to forget what just happened.

No sooner had I opened the door, than a figure caught my eye standing at a distance. They had their back turned to me and were talking to Mum who seemed overjoyed for some reason. But the peculiarity was their height. They were tall, like too tall. About 10 foot, maybe? They had bushy, long hair and were large and muscular. Mum spotted me soon after and waved at me to come over. It didn't take me long to realise once the figure had turned over, it was none other than...HAGRID?!

I ran over to them, scrubbing my eyes hard to see if it was another one of the cruel pranks of my mind. Hagrid seemed even taller in person. No. I will not accept this. My mind has to stop projecting this dream.

"Nice cosplay, Mr...?" I attempted to give whoever this was a compliment, but both Mum and 'Hagrid' seemed confused.

"Uh... This is not a cosplay, Charlize. I'm Rubeus Hagrid. Pleasure teh finally meet yeh!" He handed over an envelope to me.
"Wha' happened teh yer head?"
"Oh, I uh, fell down the stairs. But how do you know my name?"
"Read tha' letter, an' yeh'll understand how I know 'bout yer name."

I turned the letter over and of course, it was no ordinary letter. It was closed with a red 'H' stamp and the Hogwarts logo was embedded in it. Wait... Hogwarts?
