The students slowly retreated from the Great Hall.
Draco was accompanied by his friends. I wanted to talk to him so I approached him and probably even apologise for the way I acted earlier. But as soon as I got closer he got up and walked away followed by his friends.

"Do you know him?"
"What?" I turned to Hermione.
"Do you know that boy?" She pointed out to the back of Draco.
"Yes, well--"
"He's an arse. That's all I can say."

We started to walk towards the Gryffindor common room.

I told her about how Draco had 'heroically' saved me from being assaulted. She couldn't help but widen her eyes.

"No offence but, the last thing I expected from Malfoy was to stand up for a muggle, those who he hates."
"I'm a half-blood." I corrected her.
"Oh, sorry. But you get what I mean. He's a pureblood supremacist. Not just that, ever since the beginning of our school years, he has been nothing but a bully. He called me horrible names, more specifically 'mudblood'. A term used for muggle-borns, you know. He money-shamed Ron's family. Moreover, he bullies people, especially Harry, just for fun. So I find it hard to believe, honestly."

"Now I'm finding what you say, hard to believe." I say sarcastically.

We chuckled a bit at this.

Right before the common room, I stopped at Professor Dumbledore's office.

"You go, Hermione. I'll be right there."
"Um. Alright."

She departed.

I wanted to talk to Professor Dumbledore, so I stood waiting before his office.

After waiting for 15 minutes or so, I was just about to head back to the common room.

"Ah, Ms. Huxley, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Professor Dumbledore approached.
"I would like to have a word with you, Professor."
"Very well then. Please proceed to my office."

"Professor, I don't understand... Why did I get accepted now?"
"Trust me, Ms. Huxley, I have been seeking an answer to that question myself. I am not really in charge of the Book of Admittance and the Quill of Acceptance. Professor McGonagall is, but even she is confused. I have never seen any case such as yours, recalling my time in Hogwarts. The Quill of Acceptance and the Book of Admittance work on their own. No one can anticipate their work. They are known to have never made any mistakes. Your case is a contradiction."

I wonder what made the Quill rewrite my name again.

Professor Dumbledore then spoke again, "Did you perhaps display any sort of magic in the recent days?"

I tried thinking but in vain, "I don't think so, Professor. By the way, could you take a look at this?"

I took out my phone and showed him the picture of the book I had discovered in my library.

Professor Dumbledore adjusted his glasses.
"Dark Magic? Where did you find this book, if I may ask?"
"Well, it doesn't belong to me. I found it in my library."
Professor Dumbledore was looking at the picture.
"This is actually a muggle object called a phone."
I gave it to him and he examined the picture.
"How many people do you live with, Ms. Huxley?"
"Only my mother and sister."
"Beatrice was quite a bright witch back in her days. She rarely got herself in trouble. It is surprising if she owns this book. But I very much doubt it, whatsoever."

I was perplexed. Then did this book belong to my sister?

The headmaster continued, "In any case, did your sister go to Diagon Alley with you?"
"No.. which is why I'm surprised muggles are aware of magic."
"I have some knowledge about the kind of magic muggles are engaged in. It is somewhat similar to the Dark Arts."

"You don't think that my sister is doing some sort of dark magic now? But why would she?"

"It will be wrong of us now, to assume things. For all it could be, she is probably genuinely interested in how magic works. Maybe, she started with the Dark Arts, although it is highly not recommended. It is late now, Ms. Huxley, we will talk later. For now, please retire to your common room. Good night."

I walked out of the office. I felt like it had a possibility of belonging to my sister more than my mother. Why was the question to which I had to find the answer.

I was jerked back sharply when some big strong hands took hold of me and slammed me against the wall. I was scared, but partly relieved to see it was Draco.

"Bloody hell! You nearly scared me to death!" I yelled sharply in his face which was close to mine. A bit too close.

My cheeks flushed. He smirked, noticing that.
"Are you blushing? Aw, that's cute."
"Shut up." I pushed him away but he came back like a reaction force.

We shared a brief moment of serene silence as we gazed into each other's eyes. At that moment, I couldn't help but admire his stunning silver eyes, which appeared as if they were crafted from a fragment of the Moon itself. They were a work of art - immaculately formed, glowing brilliantly.

He released me but was still standing close. I crossed my hands.
"Why are you here?"

He looked around, then at me.
"You were approaching me earlier. I assumed you had something to say."

"Well, I thought it would be stupid to not talk to each other because of a silly argument."
"Yeah, you're right. And it was partly my fault too, I was being an arse."

"It's alright." I cheered up. I couldn't stay mad at him for long anyway.

We fell silent again. He stepped closer and I felt his hot breaths tingling down my neck. We stared intently at each other's eyes. I was immersed in admiration of his features. His face was sharp and confident.

"No, I'm not gonna kiss you." He annoyingly smirked. I was taken aback by the comment.
"As if, I'd asked for it." I scoffed.
"You should've seen your cheeks. It was as red as Gryffindor itself." He chuckled.

I blushed even harder at that. He continued laughing.

"If you do not want me to take points from each of your houses, proceed to your common rooms immediately. It's way past curfew."
Professor McGonagall's stern voice made us both jump.

"Yes, Professor." We said in unison.

"Ms. Huxley, as we have come face to face, I would like to have a word with you... in private."

Disco looked at Professor McGonagall, then at me, then walked away.

"Since you have already missed 3 years of your education, you will have to attend extra classes from tomorrow onwards. As you can understand, it is to make up for all you have missed. You will then learn the subjects from your respective professors. You will also receive owls if there is any addition in number to the classes you will attend. In other words, expect a busy year."

Oh well. That's a negative vibe.

"I have also asked Mr Malfoy to tutor you to fasten the process."

Okay, that's positive. I like her choice of the catalyst.

"I will let you know if there is anything else. Good night, Ms. Huxley."
