"Charlize... There's someone (yawning) waiting for you outside..."
With all force, I stretched my arms to get hold of my phone on the bedside cupboard. 5:45 AM!? Who on earth could it be? And so early in the morning? I hadn't even started my classes to be introduced to the other students.
I was still half-asleep, so my legs had to drag me all the way across the common room to see who this someone was and why they were here so early.
The portrait of the Fat Lady was flung open and out stood a familiar blonde.
"It's literally 5:45 AM!? What are you doing here so early in the morning?" My voice echoed through the empty tower.
"If you want to catch up on everything, then you have to start early. You have a LOT to do."
"I'm well aware of that, but for your information, Professor McGonagall told me last night that I'll be attending lots of extra classes. So I don't think it's THAT necessary to start so early in the morning. But I appreciate your dedication." I revolted.
"Alright then. I'll tell Professor McGonagall you rejected the tutoring session."
He turned around to walk away, but
"If I were you, I wouldn't dismiss this session, you know." He looked over his shoulder.
"Firstly, you're getting to spend one-on-one time with the Slytherin Prince and secondly, I wouldn't want to disappoint Professor McGonagall, especially at the start of the year."Was he trying to manipulate me? Nevertheless, he did have a point there. I had to start early to cover up all the lessons. If I started early now, the load would be relaxed in the later days.
"Firstly, I never said I rejected the session. I just-- sigh. Fine, what are we doing?"
"Potions first. The Potions Professor is extremely strict and he hates everyone so don't take it personally. You don't want to disappoint him, trust me. Bring your books and we'll go to the Potions classroom."
Wow. This Malfoy isn't at all like the one in the books. Actually I'm happy about that. If it's my presence that's bringing a change in him, that's extremely good. Or am I just being delusional?

"Let's start with Cure for Boils. It's a first-year potion and should be easy."
The dungeons were empty when we arrived. It felt like we were the only ones left in the school.
"Are you sure the Professor won't be mad we're using his ingredients?" I asked him.
"I don't think so. Professor McGonagall had informed him that I would be tutoring you." Came as the reply.
"Anyway, get 6 snake fangs and crush them with this mortar and pestle." He urged.I did as he told me for the next few minutes and heated the cauldron.
"Now wave your wand."
I waved it but he stopped me mid-process.
"Not like that, like this."
He took hold of my hand and waved my wand. My hand became engulfed in his bigger one as he was waving it. His warm embrace was enough to arouse a funny feeling in my stomach. My cheeks turned warm."Focus on the potion, Huxley. Not my face. Although I know it will be hard to do so with my beautiful face teaching you." He smirked. Damn that smirk.
"Shut up."
After 45 minutes or so, I was asked to add horn slugs and porcupine quills.
"Take the cauldron out of the fire before adding the quills."
"You should've told me that a few seconds ago."
