SARAH POV:
I look into his sunken eyes, and i dont see the carefree 15-year-old boy he always was- Or acted like he was. I know him better than that. "Joesph?..." I say
"Mhm?..." He mumbles, almost asleep
"Do you- Do you think life will ever be the same as before?.."
"I..No.."
"Yeah...Me either. Our love wont change though, right?"
"Of course not..." Joseph responds
"Why would it?" He says, grabbing my hands wearily
"I...I dont know, I just remember you telling me about your father and how he had changed-"
"That wont happen to me- Well- Not in the same way. I promise" He assures me, and kisses my hands.
"I love you Sarah..." He says
"I love you too..." I respond, and lay down next to him. He holds my body close, and drift off to sleep
