I wake up and roll over to look at the clock. The glowing red numbers read, 5:20. I quickly get up to get ready for work.

I change into so regular blue skinny jeans and throw on a different white shirt. I braid my hair to the side and slip on my black and white converse. I finish up by applying some make up and brushing my teeth.

I walk down the steps taking two at a time considering the time is already 6:15. There L is sitting on the couch with Aizawa. "Hey, good morning Aizawa, you're here earlier." I smile at him reaching the bottom of the steps. My eyes move to L as he sips from his cup and looks over at me. "Good morning to you too, L." I say and making my way to the exit. L stands up and walks along I de of me with his hands in his pockets as usual. "I have arranged a time for you get your clothes and other necessary belongs from your house to bring here...will 3:30 be alright?" He asked. "Sounds perfect, that's actually the time I get off of work." I smile at him. "Oh, what luck." He says still in his monotone voice I can't help but laugh a bit. I couldn't help but feel as though L planned that though. Maybe he really does listen to everything I say regardless if it's to him or not. "Well, I'll see you around that time." I say and continue walking to the door.

The walk wasn't long before I arrived at my work. I did the usual routine of waiting until it was time to open the shop. Once I turned that sign around to "hello, we're open." It seemed like the world was much more lonely. Today, there were no joggers, and no delivery bikes. The sunrise was the only thing that held my interest.

I waited around for several hours, I swept, I cleaned the windows and frosted a cake. I couldn't help but smile. A thought of L would every so often drift through my mind. I even found myself checking the time and counting down the hours and minutes just to go see him again. I checked the time for what seemed like the hundredth time. 12:45. It was almost my lunch break and I've only had about 7 customers today. I looked back out the window and my jaw dropped. A character that looked like L stood across the street. I must be imagining this. "Boo!" I hear a voice and I scream. I turn around to see Namoi. She laughs. "That wasn't funny." I say putting my hands on my hips. I do try to hide a smile. "You should have seen your face." She says now tearing up from laughter. "What are you even doing here?" I say changing the subject. "Well, I came in through the back because I wanted to surprise you and say hey." Shea if a began laughing again. "And it looked like it worked." She added. I laughed sarcastically and looked back across the street to see L walking across the street now. It was really him. "Hey, what are you starring at?" She said leaning into me to catch a glimpse of what had my attention. "It's...uh...my boss?" I said unsure what to call him exactly. I quickly turned to the mirror hanging over the cash register and fixed myself. "Your boss huh?" Namoi gave me a suspicious look. "Yes." I said looking back at her through the reflection of the mirror. "You like him don't you?" She stated. I wiped back around to look at her. "No, I do not!" I protested. "No body gets ready like this for their boss, besides he's a little too young to be a boss anyways...why are you blushing?" She crossed her arms. Suddenly the little bell to the door rang and there stood L. "H-Hey Ryuzaki." I greeted. "Oh you're Y/n's boss, she talks quite a lot about you." Namoi smiles and walks over to L to shake hands. L looks down at her hand before back up at her. "She does?" He asks and looks to me. I mentally face palm. L walks over to me and Namoi awkward pulls her hand back in knowing he isn't going to shake it. "Yeah, but they're all good things so don't worry." Namoi comes to stand next to me. I nudge her with my elbow and give her a look that reads "knock it off". L looks to Namoi again and back at me. "I'm...your boss?" He questions. I guess he never really gave much thought into what to call himself either. "Well, that's what she called you." Namoi butted in again. "So, how can I help you Ryuzaki?" I said changing subject. "Well, quite honestly-" L was cut off by the little bell hitting the door telling us another customer has walked in. There, before us was Eric. "Hey, Y/n you're back!" He smiled. I awkwardly waved to him before turning back to L. L didn't look to happy. Eric approached the counter and stood next to L. "Uh..hey pal." Eric said looking to L. L was about three inches taller than him. He stood quiet and gave only one nod back. "So, I was thinking...me and you can try that lunch thing again." Eric smiled a flirty smile at me and I felt Namoi melt. She leaned against the counter and looked at him. L turned around and headed toward the door. "Will you hold that thought." I asked Eric and chased after L before he could protest. I stopped L just outside the shop on the steps. "Hey, where are you going?" I ran ahead of him and stopped right in front of him. "Back to head quarters." He said simply and scratched the back of his head. I chuckled at him. "Why? I thought we were going to lunch." I said deciding to play my flirting card with him. L looked up at me with wide eyes as I blushed half regretting my confidence. "Unless y-you don't want to, I mean-" I was cut off by him. "Don't be foolish, I need the fresh air anyways remember?" L half smiled and rocked back and forth on his feet slightly. I smiled at him. I turned and knocked on the window gaining both Eric and Namoi's attention. "I'll be back." I mouthed and pointed to L. Namoi gave me a smile along with a thumbs up but Eric just seemed to glare at L. I turned back to L and quickly linked my arm in his before I lost my confidence. L tensed up but soon linked his arm in mine as well and with that we were off to lunch
