A Mother's Wish

Chapter Three

"I wonder who that was." I thought as I turned to face Ratchet, literally almost face to face "Can I help you with something?" I felt Nightshade try to hide deeper into my chest and that made me mad. I place a hand on his chest and shoved him away "Your too close!" He gave me a slightly confused look when I looked down at my arms "It's ok, he won't hurt you." Then he fainted when he saw the sparklings.

I sat Nightshade down and she walked over to him then she looked at me "Is Uncle Ratchet ok?"
I smiled at the nickname she used "Yes he's fine."
"But he fell." Yellowflower piped up.
"Oh, well, the sight of you guys shocked him a bit...but in a good way...he'll be fine." StrongArm answered.
All three sparklings ran over to him and sat on his chest "Uncle Ratchet wake up!!"
Nothing.
"Wake up!" They cheered as they jumped around on top of him.
Finally he woke and they all hugged his neck "Is Uncle Watchet ok?" Firestorm asked.
He smiled a rare smile "I'm fine."
The girls began to explain to everyone how we found then when I felt a sudden feeling that someone or ones was watching me, quickly I looked in all directions...mapping everything to see if there was someone or ones there.
"Sweets are you alright?" Jazz asked as he came to my side.
"It felt like someone was staring at me and before we came through the Bridge, Nightshade waved at someone and when I turned around all I saw was a grey blur vanish."
"And in the woods when we found the sparklings someone was there.. but we don't know who...they said nothing and only ran away." Arcee added.
"Then we'll have to be on guard." Bee said as Smokie drifted in "Wohoo!!!"
The sparklings ran to us and we picked them up, well Nightshade hid behind my leg "Smokescreen, must you be so loud?"
"It's Smoke-" he was about to correct me on how I said his name when he realized I said it right then gasped at the sparklings "Where did you find them?!!" And bent down to close to Nightshade and she whimpered in fear.
Quickly I grabbed his arm and pulled it behind his back, forcing him to the ground "Your too close!"
"Ahhh! Please let go!!"
"Then be more respectful to personal space!"
"Alright, I'm sorry... I'm sorry!!!!!" He banged his free hand on the ground.
"Stop moving!" Jazz shouted and he froze then I let him go.
Slowly he got up and hid behind Optimus "What did I do wrong?"
"You were to close to her sparkling...it's a mother instinct." Optimus answered "Every mech knows this."
"Apparently not every mech." Bulk laughed.
